Xiaomi has launched the Electric Scooter 5 Pro, a new model aimed at enhancing convenience for urban travelers. Now available on Xiaomi’s international website, this scooter combines performance, safety, and practicality for riders around the globe.
Features of the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 5 Pro
The Electric Scooter 5 Pro achieves a maximum speed of 25 km/h and provides three different speed settings: Walking (6 km/h), Standard (20 km/h), and Sport (25 km/h). Its rear-wheel motor can produce a peak power of 1,000W, allowing it to tackle inclines of up to 22%. Additionally, the scooter’s Traction Control System (TCS) ensures stability, even on slick surfaces.
This scooter is built to navigate various road conditions with ease. It is equipped with dual-spring shock absorbers at the front and a single spring at the back to minimize jolts from bumpy terrain. The spacious, 10-inch tubeless tires offer excellent grip and stability, contributing to a smoother ride overall.
Design and Battery Life
Constructed from carbon steel, the frame can support weights of up to 120 kg and folds for simple transport and storage. Its lightweight construction and straightforward folding design make it ideal for daily use.
The scooter is powered by a 477Wh lithium battery that allows for a travel distance of up to 60 km on a full charge. Xiaomi’s smart battery management system adds safety features that protect against problems such as short circuits, overcharging, and overheating. It also incorporates a kinetic energy recovery system to extend the battery life by converting movement into additional power.
Connectivity and Safety Features
With app-based controls, users can monitor the scooter’s location, lock the motor, and receive updates. The handlebar dashboard displays real-time information like speed, battery status, and turn signal indicators.
For safety, the scooter is fitted with an automatic headlight, tail light, and turn signals to enhance visibility during nighttime rides. The braking system includes a front drum brake and a rear E-ABS, providing dependable stopping power. It has an IPX5 rating for water resistance, making it suitable for light rain.
