It will launch alongside other new products, including the Redmi Book Pro 16 2025. In contrast, the global release for Xiaomi’s flagship device is scheduled for March 2, with a presentation planned for MWC 2025 in Barcelona.

    Detailed Specs Revealed

Recently, Roland Quandt shared a comprehensive specification sheet for the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, having seemingly leaked some details yesterday. The original document was in French, and we have included both the original and a translated version below for reference.

While many specifications have been previously disclosed, the spec sheet confirms that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is a bit thicker than its predecessor, measuring 9.35 mm for the two-tone finish and 9.48 mm for other variants. Notably, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra (currently priced at $1,029 on Amazon) is lighter than the new model in most versions, although only by a few grams.

    Connectivity and Features

The same documentation also points out Bluetooth 6.0 connectivity, which is supported by the Snapdragon 8 Elite but hasn’t been adopted by other smartphones such as the OnePlus 13 or Galaxy S25 Ultra. This suggests that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra could be the first smartphone to officially feature Bluetooth 6.0. It is well known that Xiaomi is about to launch the Xiaomi 15 Ultra very soon. As previously discussed, they have confirmed that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, which is currently available for $1,029 on Amazon, will have its successor revealed later this week in China. It will then make its way to Barcelona in early next month during MWC 2025.

Additionally, a new Redmi Book laptop will be introduced alongside the Xiaomi 15 Ultra on Thursday. According to the official teasers, this laptop is the Redmi Book Pro 16 2025, which is set to be released just over a year after the previous model came out. However, it remains unclear if there will be a new version of the smaller Redmi Book Pro 14 2024 at this event.

    Design Features

The Redmi Book Pro 16 2025 is expected to feature a large trackpad and a centralized keyboard with black keys, similar to many contemporary 16-inch laptops, like the MacBook Pro 16. Just one week prior to its launch, a new leak has highlighted the camera kit that will accompany this upcoming Leica flagship device.

    New Photography Kit

The leaked images, shared by leaker Sudhanshu Ambhore, reveal that the new camera kit will be named “Photography Kit Legend Edition.” In comparison to the earlier kits, these new renders imply that the kit will include additional buttons, though the specific purposes of these extra buttons remain unclear for now.

    Pre-order Bundle Deal

Furthermore, Ambhore has provided details about a potential pre-order bundle for the Xiaomi 15 Ultra. According to the leak, the global version of this new Leica camera flagship will be bundled with the Xiaomi Watch S4, which is Xiaomi’s attempt to offer a high-end smartwatch at a more accessible price (the 44 mm Galaxy Watch 6 is currently priced at $169.99 on Amazon).

    2. The smartphone is being positioned as a potential leader in nighttime photography, with aspirations to be called the “king or queen of the night.”

    5. The release date for the Oppo Find X8 Ultra remains uncertain, with its global launch still not confirmed.

The wave of teasers for the Find X8 Ultra hasn’t even begun, yet we’re already catching a glimpse at the enhancements of this flagship smartphone’s Hasselblad camera for 2025. Oppo’s manager, Zhou Bao, shared some important details about the new Find X8 Ultra camera in a post on Weibo, which you can see in the screenshot below.

    Camera Innovations

A machine translation reveals that a new lens along with other hardware upgrades are set to greatly enhance the camera’s performance in low-light conditions and improve color accuracy, particularly for nighttime photography. This could potentially make the Oppo Find X8 Ultra a “Night God,” at least in a metaphorical sense. The new smartphone may even be dubbed the king or queen of the night, although Oppo will have to prove this through objective testing and reviews first.

    Competitive Landscape

The competition is definitely fierce. When the Oppo Find X8 Ultra makes its (Chinese) debut, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will already be on the market. Just yesterday, the low-light capabilities of the Xiaomi device were highlighted. 2. The Xiaomi 15 Ultra features a quad-camera system with impressive specifications, including a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera designed for advanced night photography.

    3. Xiaomi aims to establish new standards in mobile photography with the 15 Ultra, which will be positioned as a “pinnacle imaging technology flagship” but will come at a higher price point.

    4. The Xiaomi Imaging Lab was unveiled, showcasing a significant investment in realistic environments for testing and enhancing imaging capabilities, moving away from reliance on DXOMARK rankings.

    5. The launch event will also introduce several other products, including the Mi Home Central Air Conditioner, advanced washing machines, and new audio devices like the Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro.

Lu Weibing, who is a Partner and President of Xiaomi Group and General Manager of the Xiaomi brand, recently conducted a live stream in China to share official information about the Xiaomi 15 Ultra before its anticipated launch next week. He emphasized Xiaomi’s approach to broadening its premium product range across different categories. He noted that product launch events often don’t provide enough time to cover each product in detail. To solve this, Xiaomi plans to use a mix of launch events and live streams more frequently to give users deeper insights into the products and the ideas behind them. Digital Chat Station shared a Weibo post that highlighted the main points from the live stream that took place yesterday.

Camera Features of Xiaomi 15 Ultra

One of the most exciting news was the complete camera specs for the Xiaomi 15 Ultra. This device will have a quad-camera system that includes the following sensors:
    – 50-megapixel primary sensor (1/0.98-inch, 23mm, f/1.63)
    – 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera (14mm, f/2.2)
    – 50-megapixel telephoto camera (70mm, f/1.8) with a 10cm telephoto macro
    – 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera (1/1.4-inch, 100mm, f/2.6). It supports in-sensor zoom (ISZ) with lossless output at 200mm and 400mm, providing multiple focal lengths such as 0.6x, 1x, 2x, 3x, 4.3x, 8.7x, and 17.3x.

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is engineered to tackle the challenges of night photography with an “ultra-pure optical system” and aims to establish new standards in mobile photography. Interestingly, this version will not have a variable aperture. Xiaomi has elevated the 15 Ultra’s status from being an imaging flagship to a “pinnacle imaging technology flagship,” incorporating the finest hardware available. However, this upgrade will also lead to an increase in price. Besides camera improvements, the device will highlight Xiaomi’s premium technology in battery life, display quality, and connectivity features.

    The Xiaomi Imaging Lab

Another important announcement was the unveiling of the Xiaomi Imaging Lab for the first time to the public. This lab is a physical setup that cost over 20 million Yuan to create, featuring realistic replicas of spaces like cafés, museums, jewelry shops, luxury boutiques, and restaurants. This is just the initial phase, with a second phase planned to include artificial sunlight and water systems. The significant investment in the lab shows why Xiaomi has shifted its focus away from DXOMARK rankings.

    Other Upcoming Xiaomi Products

The launch of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will also introduce several other products. Among them are the Mi Home Central Air Conditioner, the Pro version of the Mijia Washer and Dryer Set, a dual-system refrigerator Pro, the Super XiaoAI Speaker, an inverter dehumidifier, the Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro, and the RedmiBook 2025 Pro.
