Vivo X300 Series to Feature AirDrop-Like Function at Launch

    Key Takeaways

    1. The X300 Pro is Vivo’s major competitor to Apple’s latest iPhones, featuring improved rear cameras and a sleek design.
    2. Powered by the Dimensity 9500, it offers software and cross-device compatibility similar to the iPhone experience.
    3. Users can transfer files between the X300 Pro and Apple devices using OriginOS 6, Vivo’s customized Android version.
    4. The cross-platform transfer requires logging into the Vivo account on both devices but does not need a shared Wi-Fi network.
    5. The Mac transfer feature will also be available on the iQoo 15, which uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 processor.

The X300 Pro has now been revealed as Vivo’s major competitor to Apple’s newest iPhones at its release, showcasing significantly improved rear cameras, all in a possibly sleeker design.

    Features and Performance

The flagship smartphone, powered by the Dimensity 9500, is also being highlighted as the closest alternative to an iPhone experience, particularly in software and cross-device compatibility.

A representative from the company stated that it will penetrate Apple’s closed ecosystem, allowing users to transfer files between a macOS PC or iPad and the new smartphone.

This capability will be included in OriginOS 6, Vivo’s customized version of Android 16. Similar to the OnePlus offering, there is a limitation; these “free Mac cross-platform transfers” must occur within the Vivo account’s user interface, which requires logging in on both the Apple device and the new phone.

    Wireless Connectivity

Nevertheless, this minor limitation supposedly eliminates the requirement for the devices to share the same Wi-Fi network. It appears to be totally wireless, with no cables needed at all.

OriginOS 6 and its Mac transfer feature are also expected to launch on the X300 Pro’s smaller counterpart and their Snapdragon 8 Elite 2-powered relative, the iQoo 15, during its introduction.

  • Vivo X300 Pro: Display Upgrades and Enhanced Camera Aesthetics

    Key Takeaways

    1. Vivo has not yet announced the official launch date for the X300 series.
    2. Executive Han Bo Xiao shared details about the display of the X300 Pro, claiming it has thinner bezels than the iPhone 16 Pro Max.
    3. The X300 Pro will feature a 6.78-inch display.
    4. Vivo has previously used similar display sizes in their X200 series phones.
    5. Significant investments and improvements have been made in the camera hardware of the X300 Pro.

We are still waiting for Vivo to announce when the X300 series will officially be launched. Meanwhile, Vivo’s executive Han Bo Xiao has given new details about another flagship phone that has yet to be released.

    Teasing the Display

This time, the executive has hinted at the display that will be featured on the X300 Pro, having shared a similar image related to the X300 last week. Just like with the X300, Han Bo Xiao has made comparisons between the X300 Pro and what Vivo sees as its biggest rival from Apple. According to the image below, the X300 Pro has thinner display bezels than the iPhone 16 Pro Max (curr. $990 – refurbished on Amazon), although it feels like we are nitpicking at this point.

    Display Size and Innovations

Furthermore, Han Bo Xiao has confirmed that the X300 Pro will come with a 6.78-inch display. Vivo has previously used 6.78-inch and 6.82-inch screens in the X200 Pro and X200 Ultra, respectively. Interestingly, the same executive has suggested that the X300 Pro includes the results of ‘significant investments and improvements’ in its camera hardware. Therefore, it appears that Vivo or one of its representatives will soon provide information about the X300 or X300 Pro regarding this matter in the next few days.

  • Vivo X300 Pro Latest Leak Shows Downgraded Battery Prediction

Vivo X300 Pro Latest Leak Shows Downgraded Battery Prediction

    Key Takeaways

    1. The V2502A is confirmed to be the upcoming X300 Pro, not the X300.
    2. The V2502DA variant will support satellite messaging through the Beidou network.
    3. Both the X300 Pro models will feature a battery capacity of 6,500mAh, an upgrade from the X200 Pro’s 6,000mAh.
    4. The higher capacity battery of up to 7,000mAh may be reserved for the X400 Pro instead.
    5. The X200 Pro is priced starting at €637 in Europe.

The well-known leaker Digital Chat Station has reportedly confirmed that the V2502A, which has recently appeared in official Chinese regulatory listings, is actually the upcoming X300 Pro instead of the X300.

    Additional Variants

It seems that alongside it, the V2502DA is another variant of the Pro that offers support for satellite messaging through the Beidou network. This suggests that the two smartphones will be equipped with a battery capacity of 6,500mAh (or a rated capacity of 6,375mAh), which is an upgrade from the 6,000mAh found in the X200 Pro.

    Battery Insights

The somewhat disappointing alleged increase in specs could imply that the more impressive up-to-7,000mAh battery mentioned in previous leaks may be kept for the X400 Pro instead. On the other hand, this might indicate that the Dimensity 9500-powered X300 Pro could be as sleek (or even sleeker) than its ~8.2 millimeter (mm) predecessor.

    Pricing Information

The X200 Pro is currently available starting at €637 on TradingShenzhen in Europe.
