Earlier this month, Vivo announced the launch date for the X200 series in India. The company will unveil its flagship models, the Vivo X200 and X200 Pro, tomorrow (12th December 2024). Even before the official announcement, details about the Indian pricing have already surfaced.

This information was shared by well-known tipster Abhishek Yadav on X (previously known as Twitter). To remind you, the premium smartphone featuring the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 was first introduced in China in October 2024. The starting price for the X200 series was 4,300 Yuan, which is around 591 US Dollars. However, it seems that in India, the base Vivo X200 will be priced at 65,999 INR (approximately 777 US Dollars). This means that the Indian version is significantly pricier compared to its Chinese counterpart.
Information on Vivo X200 Pro
The mentioned price of 65,999 INR applies to the 12GB + 256GB variant, while the 16GB + 512GB version will set you back 71,999 INR (about 848 US Dollars). As for the Vivo X200 Pro, it is expected to be priced at 94,999 INR (around 1,199 US Dollars) in India for its sole configuration of 16GB + 512GB. In comparison, this same model was introduced in China for 5,299 Yuan (approximately 825 US Dollars), indicating a significant price gap between the two markets.

Oppo Confirms Global Release Potential for Find X8 Ultra
Oppo has unveiled the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro worldwide after presenting them last month in China. These two models serve as alternatives powered by the Dimensity 9400, coming up against a host of flagship devices that utilize the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, like the Galaxy S24 Ultra, which is currently priced at $949.99 on Amazon.
Vivo’s New Offerings
The same situation applies to the Vivo X200 and X200 Pro, while the smaller X200 Pro mini is excluded. Regrettably, it looks like Oppo won’t be launching the entire Find X8 lineup globally. As of now, the Find X8 Ultra has not been officially introduced. Interestingly, Oppo recently hinted at this model on its UK X (formerly known as Twitter) account.
Social Media Confusion
A screenshot from that account indicates that the UK social media team received word that the Find X8 Ultra “is not scheduled for a global release.” However, this post was later removed, hinting that they might have shared information too soon.
In any case, the absence of the Find X8 Ultra outside of China could give Samsung and the Galaxy S25 Ultra an opportunity to dominate the market globally. According to some recent rumors, the Honor Magic7 Pro might also make its way outside China, but likely not until after the Galaxy S25 series is officially announced.

Camera Comparison: OnePlus 13 vs Oppo Find X8 Pro vs Vivo X200 Pro
There are plenty of camera comparison videos available online, and Chris from TechTablets often leads the way in reviewing and contrasting the newest devices. He also stays ahead in terms of camera flagship devices from brands like Oppo, OnePlus, and Vivo, which have already seen global launches. In his recent video (check it out below), he evaluates the camera equipment of the Hasselblad cameras found in the Oppo Find X8 Pro and OnePlus 13 alongside the Zeiss camera in the Vivo X200 Pro. The Vivo model has a slight edge as it has been on the (Chinese) market for a bit longer and has already gone through several updates.

Performance Analysis
This gives some insight into why the Vivo X200 Pro tends to outperform the others in various situations, as highlighted in the nearly 8-minute comparison video according to Chris’s insights. The differences are minimal when it comes to video capabilities, where the Oppo Find X8 Pro stands out as the only device among the three that lacks the ability to shoot in 8K with its main camera. In terms of selfie shots, the OnePlus 13 takes the lead as the best of the flagship trio, but when looking at other aspects like portrait shots, macro images, and especially zoom photos, the Vivo X200 Pro clearly takes the crown.
Zoom Performance
One of the most noticeable advantages comes from the 10x zoom shots taken at night and in low-light conditions, where the Zeiss camera on the Vivo X200 Pro significantly outshines the other two models. This is particularly surprising considering the Vivo X200 Pro’s optical focal length is much lower at 3.7x compared to the Oppo Find X8 Pro’s 6x zoom. Future updates could potentially enhance the performance of the Hasselblad flagship. However, there is a notable downside: the Vivo X200 Pro has a noticeable lens flare issue in certain situations, although the Oppo and OnePlus models are not completely free from this flaw either.
