    Vivo V50 Series Launch Update

Recently, the Vivo V50 series has been making waves with reports and certifications, signaling that its launch is just around the corner. Ahead of the official word, a new report has shared details about when we can expect the Vivo V50 to hit the market. Let’s dive into the specifics.

Launch Timeline for Vivo V50 in India

A report from SmartPrix states that the Chinese company is preparing to release the Vivo V50 in India during the third week of February 2025. This aligns with information from previous reports. Only the standard V50 model is set to launch next month, while the more advanced Vivo V50 Pro has apparently been postponed. As per the current details, the regular Vivo V50 is likely to become available in India on February 18, 2025.

What to Expect from Vivo V50

With the launch approaching, we can anticipate that Vivo will start teasing the V50 soon. For reference, the Vivo V40 and V40 Pro were unveiled around the same period last year. However, the V50 Pro is expected to come out at a later date. Earlier this month, the NCC certification disclosed details about the battery, fast charging capabilities, RAM, and storage options of the Vivo V50. It appears this model will be offered in two storage variants: 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB.

    Impressive Specifications

The device is rumored to be equipped with a robust 6,000mAh battery, supporting 90W wired fast charging. There are whispers that the Vivo V50 could be a modified version of the Vivo S20, rather than just a rebranded device. The certification also unveiled the design of this model, confirming that the Zeiss partnership for the rear cameras is making a comeback.

Vivo has announced the V40 Pro, available via Amazon in regions like India, which it calls the “Zeiss Portrait Master,” priced at INR 46,990 (~$556) as of today, November 17, 2024. This device features a total of four 50MP cameras, including the triple rear lenses and the front-facing selfie camera.

    Upcoming Improvements

According to the reliable leaker Digital Chat Station, the new model will be similar to the V40 Pro. It will sport the same Sony IMX921 main rear camera, but the telephoto lens is expected to upgrade to a 3X zoom periscope lens using the IMX882 sensor, akin to what is found in the Realme 13 Pro.

    Features to Expect

The “V50 Pro,” which may be referred to as the S20 Pro in the Chinese market, is also rumored to keep the ultrawide-angle camera from its predecessor. Additionally, it is anticipated to come with a 6.67-inch 1.5K display, moving away from the uneven curves seen in the S19/V40 series. This new screen will be powered by the older yet robust Dimensity 9300+ chipset.robust Dimensity 9300+ chipset

    Battery and Competition

On another note, the expected smartphone is likely to maintain a 5,500mAh battery. This specification might allow the S series to remain as sleek as Vivo desires, but it could also place its latest flagship at a disadvantage against rivals that offer superior battery capacities as a marketing edge.
