One of the confirmed details is that the device will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. This is in contrast to the Chinese variant of the smartphone, which comes equipped with the latest Dimensity 9300 chipset.

He also questioned whether the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 could "replicate the glory of the Snapdragon 870."

    Lei Jun Echoes Sentiments

    Lei Jun, CEO of Xiaomi, echoed Weibing's sentiments, stating that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is indeed a generation of God U with a good reputation. Although neither executive explicitly mentioned the Redmi K70, the timing of their posts strongly suggests that the smartphone will indeed be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.

    Redmi K70 Lineup

    Last month, Redmi officially confirmed that the Redmi K70 series smartphones will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. However, this is likely reserved for the top-of-the-line K70 Pro model.
