Google Pixel 10 Pro Concept Video: Bold Redesign & Upgrades

Google has made big changes to its main smartphone, the Pixel 9 Pro, and it looks like it might do the same with the next version. New leaks suggest that the upcoming Pixel 10 Pro will keep the horizontal camera layout found on the current model. A recent concept video from 4RMD gives us a glimpse of what the Pixel 10 Pro might look like if Google decides to go for a bolder redesign.

    Unique Camera Design

The standout feature in the video is a vertical camera setup located in the center, which is similar to the larger, centrally placed camera module on the Sony Xperia 1 VI. This camera module includes three lenses arranged in the familiar Pixel traffic light style, along with an LED flash and a prominent Google logo. As is common with concept videos that are not based on leaked designs, the Pixel 10 Pro is depicted with very slim screen bezels.

    Display and Features

The display integrates a fingerprint sensor that is subtly built into the screen, and it features a smaller punch-hole front camera situated in the middle, which is less prominent than that on the Pixel 9 Pro. The back and metal frame of the phone are shown in a variety of colors: white, black, red, and blue. The concept video also presents a wishlist of features, including Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, larger display sizes of 6.4 inches and 6.9 inches with a maximum HDR brightness reaching 4,000 nits, a bigger 5,300 mAh battery that supports 45-watt fast charging, and enhanced camera capabilities.

    Camera Specifications

These camera enhancements consist of a 64 MP primary camera, a 64 MP ultra-wide camera, and a 64 MP periscope telephoto lens, which could potentially offer up to 50x zoom when combined with digital zoom. The new Tensor G5 ARM chip is also mentioned, although previous leaks have already provided various details about it. It’s important to note that the specifications outlined are merely a wishlist from the concept designer; whether the Pixel 10 Pro will actually get these upgrades is still uncertain. Nevertheless, the Pixel 10 series is anticipated to be launched in the summer of 2025.

  • Google Pixel 9a Leak Reveals Larger Size Than Anticipated

Google Pixel 9a Leak Reveals Larger Size Than Anticipated

@OnLeaks has released new insights into the Pixel 9a, which is believed to be the next mid-range smartphone from Google. This upcoming device is set to replace the Pixel 8a (currently priced at $499 on Amazon), but it will feature some notable differences from the prior model.

    Design Changes

According to recent leaks, the Pixel 9a is likely to have a revamped rear design, particularly with its camera layout. As shown in the images, the phone appears to have minimal camera housing. However, this new design may result in a slightly larger device overall. @OnLeaks has indicated that the Pixel 9a will be a bit bigger than was previously anticipated.

    Size Specifications

The expected dimensions of the Pixel 9a are reported to be 154.7 x 73.2 x 8.9 mm, making it taller, wider, and thicker than earlier reports suggested. Consequently, the Pixel 9a could be 2.6 mm taller and 0.5 mm wider than the Pixel 8a, while maintaining the same thickness of 8.9 mm. Despite the design changes, the camera housing is still said to measure 0.5 mm thick. Currently, the Pixel 9a is expected to be released in March 2025, just two months before the anniversary of the Pixel 8a.

  • Sony Xperia 1 VI to Switch from 21:9 to 19.5:9 Screen Ratio

Sony Xperia 1 VI to Switch from 21:9 to 19.5:9 Screen Ratio

Sony‘s Xperia smartphones have traditionally stood out within the Android ecosystem due to their unique 21:9 aspect ratio, catering to cinephiles and those who appreciate taller screens. However, there are rumors circulating about a significant shift in the design of the upcoming Xperia 1 VI model.

    Potential Design Changes

Leaker Zackbuks on Weibo suggests that the Xperia 1 VI might move away from Sony’s typical 21:9 aspect ratio to a more standard 19.5:9 aspect ratio. While this alteration may disappoint some fans who prefer the taller display, it could be a strategic decision by Sony to broaden its appeal beyond a niche market.

    Screen Resolution and Design

Additionally, the leak hints at a possible decrease in screen resolution from 4K to 2K, although the overall design of the phone is expected to maintain similarities with its predecessor.

    Camera and Innovative Features

An earlier report mentioned that all three rear cameras of the Xperia 1 VI could feature 48MP Exmor T sensors. Moreover, there are speculations that Sony intends to introduce a groundbreaking in-camera digital signature technology in its upcoming Xperia devices. This feature would enable users to digitally sign photos directly within the camera, ensuring authenticity and preventing alterations.

    Memory Configurations

Recent leaks have also provided insights into the potential memory configurations of the Xperia 1 VI, suggesting options of 12GB and 16GB RAM.

While concrete details about the new Sony Xperia VI model are limited at this stage, ongoing updates on any developments will be shared as they surface.
