    Huawei Launches 98″ Smart TV V5 with 4K MiniLED, HarmonyOS 4

    Huawei China has introduced its largest Smart TV to date, the V5 98-inch model. This new addition expands the lineup that already includes 75-inch and 85-inch models, offering consumers a truly expansive viewing experience. Available now on VMall, the TV is priced at 36,999 yuan ($5,168), with a promotional discount reducing it to 34,999 yuan ($4,889) until August 31st.

    The V5 98-inch model boasts a Super MiniLED Ultra HD display with 4K resolution, utilizing a direct down backlight mode to amplify contrast. It features a 120Hz refresh rate, covers 95% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, and offers a typical brightness of 750 nits, peaking at 2000 nits for striking and detailed visuals.

    Internally, the TV is powered by Huawei’s Honghu Swan 900 chip and runs on HarmonyOS 4. It is equipped with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The audio system consists of a dual-driver speaker setup with additional components for superior sound quality.

    Huawei has enhanced its new Wireless Remote Control for superior navigation and control. The TV also features AI capabilities such as content duration control, reminders for sitting posture and distance, as well as eye protection. Connectivity options include HDMI 2.0, HDMI 2.1, USB ports, Ethernet, and an AI camera that supports voice input and video calls. The dimensions of the V5 98-inch are 2176.2 x 1256 x 65mm, and it weighs 63kg without the stand.

    Hisense S7N Canvas TV: Affordable Alternative to Samsung’s The Frame

    The Hisense S7N Canvas TV has been introduced as a competitor to Samsung’s The Frame TV. This new TV model from Hisense displays artwork when it detects someone in the room. Operating on Google TV, the S7N Canvas TV doubles as wall art when it’s not being used. This innovative TV is now available in the United States.

    The Hisense S7N Canvas TV, initially announced a few months ago, features a matte screen and an Art Mode that turns it into an artwork display when idle. This concept has been famously popularized by Samsung’s The Frame TV. The Hisense model was introduced in two sizes: 55 inches and 65 inches. Currently, the 65-inch version is available for purchase on Amazon and Best Buy.

    Design and Features

    The S7N Canvas TV comes with a teak frame, and there are optional magnetic frames in various colors for customization. It boasts a 4K QLED display and a 144Hz Game Mode Pro with a variable refresh rate ranging from 48Hz to 144Hz. The TV provides multi-channel surround sound and includes an RGB light sensor that automatically adjusts the color temperature and screen brightness based on the ambient light. Additionally, it is equipped with a motion detector to control the display of artworks when it senses presence in the room.

    Connectivity and Controls

    The TV includes four HDMI ports, two USB ports, an RCA composite video input, and an RF antenna port. Two of the HDMI ports are version 2.1. It also comes with a backlit voice remote control.

    Pricing & Availability

    The Hisense S7N Canvas TV is priced at $999 for the 55-inch model and $1,299.99 for the 65-inch model. In comparison, Samsung’s The Frame TV is currently priced at $1,500 and $1,999 for the 55-inch and 65-inch versions, respectively. There is no current information on the cost of personalized frames for the S7N Canvas TV.
