An intriguing rumor circulated last month suggesting that Infinix was developing the slimmest phone in the world. It turns out, there’s some validity to this claim.
Teasing the Thinnest Smartphone
The company has begun to promote the Infinix Hot 50 Pro Plus in the Philippines. While not many details are available yet, it’s evident that this smartphone will be one of the thinnest we’ve seen in quite a while.
Not Quite the Thinnest
That said, it won’t hold the title of the world’s thinnest phone. According to the official teaser, the device measures 6.8mm thick—very sleek, but still not as slender as the 2014 Vivo X5 Max, which had an impressive 4.75mm thickness. Nonetheless, the Infinix Hot 50 Pro Plus will be the most slender non-foldable smartphone since the Tecno Camon 11 series that launched back in 2018.
Specifications of Infinix Hot 50 Pro Plus
Regarding other specifications, the details lean more towards the mid-range. The smartphone will be equipped with a MediaTek Helio G100 processor, which Infinix claims will provide "5-year performance fluency" due to TUV certification.
Though it’s not the most advanced chip available, it should manage daily tasks just fine. The Helio G100 will work alongside 8GB of RAM and a solid 256GB of storage capacity.
On the front side, there’s an AMOLED screen that supports a 120Hz refresh rate. The teaser also indicates that an in-display fingerprint scanner will be included for user ease. Beyond these specifications, further information on the Infinix Hot 50 Pro Plus is still limited.
Launch Date and Pricing
Additionally, the exact launch date remains undisclosed for now. Nevertheless, Infinix’s promotion of the device in the Philippines hints at a soon-to-come release in that area.
Pricing details have not been shared yet either. However, considering the phone’s mid-range specifications, it’s reasonable to think it will be a cost-effective choice for those who favor an elegant design over high-end performance.
