    Asus is getting ready to introduce a new range of OLED gaming monitors.     New Additions to the Lineup

    Recently, Asus has listed the ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDPG, XG27ACDMS, and XG34WCDG on its global website, along with the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDMR. For context, the company introduced the PG32UCDMR during Computex 2025, which includes DisplayPort 2.1 connectivity, OLED Care Pro technology, and a Neo Proximity sensor, surpassing the previous year’s ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM. As highlighted below, the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDMR features a native 4K resolution, a 240 Hz refresh rate, and outstanding color accuracy on a 32-inch QD-OLED display.

    Features of New Models

    Asus also showcased the ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDPG last month at Computex 2025. This monitor is one of the few 500 Hz QD-OLED models available, and it shares OLED Care Pro technology and a Neo Proximity sensor with the PG32UCDMR but lacks DisplayPort 2.1. Instead, Asus has opted for a DisplayPort 1.4 port that uses Display Stream Compression (DSC) to achieve 1440p and 500 Hz simultaneously.

    Conversely, the ROG Strix OLED XG27ACDMS offers 1440p resolution and 280 Hz performance on a 27-inch QD-OLED panel. This resolution is somewhat unusual for a QD-OLED at the moment; the XG27ACDMS can reach a peak brightness of 250 nits, which is lower than the 300 nits of the XG27AQDPG. However, it includes a USB Type-C port while omitting any USB Type-A options. Nonetheless, the XG27ACDMS also comes with OLED Care Pro and a Neo Proximity sensor.

    Expected Release Dates and Pricing

    Additionally, the ROG Strix OLED XG34WCDG is equipped with a Gen 2 QD-OLED panel made by Samsung Display. Like the ROG Strix OLED XG34WCDMTG that was revealed at Computex 2025, the XG34WCDG does not appear to offer Smart TV capabilities, while it retains a 1440p resolution with a 240 Hz refresh rate. Currently, Asus plans to launch the XG27AQDPG and PG32UCDMR this summer for $899 and $1,299, respectively. No information is available yet on the pricing or release dates for the XG27ACDMS or XG34WCDG.

    Asus Teases 500Hz ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDPG Monitor at CES 2025

    Asus is among several companies that have taken advantage of Samsung Display’s newest QD-OLED panels for their latest gaming monitors. Other brands, like Gigabyte, MSI, and Samsung Electronics, are also in the mix at the moment. However, we wouldn’t be shocked if more gaming monitor brands showcased new models at CES 2025 happening this week in Las Vegas.

    New Addition to the ROG Strix Series

    In line with this, Asus has introduced a new product in its ROG Strix line, building on the ROG Swift OLED PG27UCDM that was revealed just last week. The company has unveiled the ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDPG, which acts as a follow-up to last year’s ROG Strix OLED XG27ACDNG (currently priced at $699.99 on Amazon). The XG27AQDPG maintains a resolution of 1440p on its 27-inch display, unlike the PG27UCDM.

    Enhanced Refresh Rate

    Although the XG27AQDPG shares the same resolution as the XG27ACDNG, it outshines it with a higher refresh rate. Matching the Aorus FO27Q5P, the XG27AQDPG reaches an impressive peak of 500 Hz, featuring 0.03 ms GtG response times, covering 99% of the DCI-P3 color space, and providing ‘up to 20% brighter’ full panel brightness. In addition, the XG27AQDPG includes DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 options with variable refresh rates (VRR) and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) for the HDMI connection.

    OLED Care Pro Software

    Additionally, Asus has incorporated its OLED Care Pro software to help lessen the risk of OLED burn-in. This software can adjust taskbar brightness, monitor persistent image outlines, and automatically tweak the overall brightness of the display, among other functionalities. Sadly, Asus hasn’t revealed any details about pricing or when the product will be available.
