    Xiaomi has announced that it will introduce the Redmi Pad SE 4G, also known as the Redmi Pad SE 8.7, in India on July 29. While the initial announcement shared some basic information, more detailed specifications are yet to be officially revealed.

    However, tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore recently leaked renders and specifications of the Redmi Pad SE 8.7 on X (formerly Twitter). The leaked images suggest the tablet will have a boxy design with thick bezels around the display. It will also include top and bottom firing speakers and a 3.5mm audio jack.

    Specifications and Features

    The tablet is expected to sport an 8.7-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1340 x 800 pixels. It will be powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 processor, along with 4 GB of RAM and options for either 64 GB or 128 GB of internal storage. Additionally, it will feature a microSD card slot that supports up to 2TB of expandable storage. Camera-wise, the tablet will have an 8MP main camera and a 5MP front camera.

    The speakers will support Dolby Atmos audio, and the device will run on an Android 14-based operating system. It will be equipped with a 6650mAh battery that can be charged via a USB-C port. Although the tipster has not confirmed 4G LTE support for this model, the official announcement indicates that a 4G variant exists. More details are expected to be confirmed soon.

    Redmi Pad SE 8.7 4G Gets Thailand NBTC Certification, Launch Soon

    Earlier this month, it was revealed that Xiaomi is working on a new tablet named the Redmi Pad SE 8.7 4G. We recently shared a live image of this tablet, and it has now been spotted on the NBTC certification website with the model number 24076RP19G.

    The certification confirms the name Redmi Pad SE 8.7 4G and suggests that it will be available in Thailand. Previously, this tablet was also listed on the Bureau of Indian Standards website with the model number 24076RP19I. Although the certification doesn’t provide any specification details, an earlier FCC listing indicates that it will run Xiaomi’s Hyper OS 1.0, support dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 4G LTE, and come with an FM receiver.

    Specifications of the Redmi Pad SE

    This new tablet is expected to be a smaller version of the existing Xiaomi Pad SE, which features an 11″ display. By looking at the specifications of the Redmi Pad SE, we can get an idea of what the upcoming Pad SE 8.7 4G model might offer.
