Redmi Note 13R: 120Hz Display, HyperOS, 33W Fast Charging Launched

The Redmi Note 13 series in China has four models: Standard, Pro, Pro Plus, and the R-Pro. Now, Xiaomi’s sub-brand has discreetly introduced a new variant to the lineup. The Redmi Note 13R is a scaled-down version of the Note 13R Pro. It follows last year’s Note 12R but with only a few changes. Here’s a look at what the device offers right out of the box.

Redmi Note 13R specifications and features

The Redmi Note 13R keeps the same 6.79-inch LCD display with FHD+ resolution and 550 nits peak brightness. However, the refresh rate has been enhanced to 120Hz from 90Hz and is adaptive. The phone includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner integrated into the power button.

    Camera and Performance

The camera setup on the Redmi Note 13R remains the same as its predecessor. It features a 50MP main sensor paired with a 2MP macro lens. For selfies, there’s an 8MP front-facing camera, an upgrade from the 5MP on the Note 12R.

The device is powered by the same Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor. It comes with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage, whereas the Note 12R maxes out at 8GB + 256GB. The smartphone is equipped with a slightly larger 5,030mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. On the software side, it runs HyperOS-based Android 14 OS out of the box.

    Pricing and Availability

The Redmi Note 13R comes in Silver, Midnight Black, and Ice Crystal Blue colors. The base model with 6GB + 128GB is priced at CNY 1,399 yuan ($193). The highest configuration of 12GB + 512GB is available for CNY 2,199 ($304).
