Xiaomi POCO C75 Launches with Redmi 14C Inspired Design

Only a few days ago, 91mobiles revealed more details about the upcoming POCO C75. Now, SmartPrix has come forward to showcase the smartphone’s design for the first time.

    New Design Features

From the images provided, it looks like Xiaomi is planning to introduce a completely different design compared to the previous year’s POCO C65 (currently priced at $138 on Amazon). The POCO C75 appears to be quite similar to the Redmi 14C, which was launched in late August, but with a range of new color options.

    Specifications Similarities

In addition to design changes, it seems the POCO C75 will also take many features from the Redmi 14C. The new model is expected to have dimensions of 171.8 x 77.8 x 8.2 mm and will weigh around 204 g at its lightest. The smartphone is likely to come with a large 6.88-inch IPS display powered by MediaTek’s Helio G81 Ultra, instead of the previously speculated Helio G85.

    Battery and Camera Details

Additionally, the POCO C75 is anticipated to include a 5,160 mAh battery capable of 18 W charging. It should also sport a camera setup that includes a 50 MP main lens, a 2 MP depth sensor, and a 13 MP front-facing camera. Although there’s no official release date yet, the appearance of these device images suggests that the launch of the POCO C75 might be happening soon.

Xiaomi’s Redmi brand is expanding its range of affordable smartphones with the introduction of the Redmi 14C. Scheduled to launch in Vietnam on August 31st, the phone’s specifications have already been leaked by a Vietnamese retailer.

    Redmi’s Latest Design

Typically, Redmi introduces a new design with each series, and the Redmi 14C follows this trend. The phone features a prominent circular camera module on the back, a departure from its predecessor’s style. Its design seems closer to that of the recently released Oppo F27 5G in India.

The Blue version of the 14C boasts a striking gradient finish, lending it a more upscale appearance. However, it’s important to remember that this remains a budget-friendly option.

    Camera and Color Options

The camera module comprises four rings. One contains a 50-megapixel primary sensor, another likely includes a secondary sensor for depth data, and a third holds the LED flash. The fourth ring serves a decorative purpose.

In addition to the Blue variant, the Redmi 14C will also be offered in Green with a vegan leather finish and a simple Black version.

    Display and Battery Specifications

On the front, the phone sports a sizable 6.88-inch LCD screen with HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. It is powered by a hefty 5,160mAh battery, although fast charging is capped at 18W. For security, the device features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

    Processor and Storage Details

While the retailer listing doesn’t specify the phone’s processor, speculation points to the MediaTek Helio G91 Ultra. Confirmed storage options include versions with either 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage or 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

Pricing remains undisclosed, but it’s anticipated that the Redmi 14C will be a cost-effective choice. We will need to wait until the official release on August 31st to verify the pricing details.

Redmi 14C Release Imminent: Launch Date Still Unconfirmed

The Redmi 14C has made an appearance in the IMEI database, signaling that Xiaomi is gearing up to launch this model soon. Initially identified as 2409BRN2CL, the device is now officially called the Redmi 14C, marking a crucial step toward its release. This data was discovered by the XiaomiTime team.

Redmi 14C in HyperOS Source Code & IMEI Database

The Redmi 14C, along with “C3N” and “C3NL,” have been assigned internal model numbers, highlighting the significance of this device. According to details in the HyperOS source code, the Redmi 14C was the first device identified to feature the MediaTek Helio G81 processor. However, there might be some discrepancies in the processor naming by Xiaomi.

Given that the Redmi 13C was equipped with the Helio G85, Xiaomi may avoid using the “G81” designation for the new model. It’s important to note that this processor is based on MT6768. The smartphone could also potentially use a processor named “Helio G91 Ultra.” Regardless of these naming conventions, the Redmi 14C’s performance will mirror that of the Redmi 13C.
