OneXFly F1 Pro 10W TDP: Play Red Dead Redemption 80+ FPS

The OneXFly F1 Pro is a groundbreaking gaming handheld that features the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor, making it capable of running nearly any AAA game you can think of. It also includes the Radeon 890M integrated GPU, which allows it to perform exceptionally well. Recently, the company revealed how the F1 Pro can run Red Dead Redemption while maintaining a low thermal design power (TDP).

    Impressive Performance in Gaming

In a recent teaser video, One-Netbook showcased the OneXFly F1 Pro achieving over 80 frames per second in Red Dead Redemption at a mere 10W TDP. The game was played at a 1080p resolution, and although the graphics were set to low, it’s quite remarkable to see the Radeon 890M delivering such strong performance at such a low power consumption level.

    Benchmark Scores Reveal Potential

Additionally, One-Netbook highlighted the performance of the Ryzen AI 365 version of the gaming handheld. According to the 3DMark Time Spy benchmark, the Radeon 880M in the OneXFly F1 Pro scored 2,084 at 10W, 2,967 at 15W, and 3,346 at 25W. For context, the score of 3,346 at 25W surpasses the performance of the Asus ROG Ally X, which scored lower at 30W in our tests. This indicates that even the more affordable version of the OneXFly F1 Pro outperforms many last-gen handhelds.

    Pricing and Future Expectations

However, the OneXFly F1 Pro comes with a higher price tag compared to older models. With the current pre-order discount, the starting price is set at $1,099. This price point is somewhat expected, especially since even the Strix Point mini PCs are more expensive than their Hawk Point counterparts. Looking ahead, there’s hope that the next generation of gaming handhelds featuring the Ryzen Z2 series may lower prices somewhat (for instance, the Legion Go with Z1 Extreme is currently priced at $659.99 on Amazon).

Snapdragon 8 Elite Achieves Over 160 FPS in Red Dead Redemption

Rockstar has just released Red Dead Redemption for PC, and since the game isn’t very new, it doesn’t demand as much from hardware compared to the latest AAA games. This might have made it easier to emulate, with the Snapdragon 8 Elite reportedly capable of running the game at over 160 FPS.

    Impressive Performance

A tweet from @4k_isn on X shared a screenshot claiming to show a Snapdragon 8 Elite phone running Red Dead Redemption at 161.7 FPS. This image was taken from BiliBili, a Chinese video-sharing site like YouTube. Although the tweet doesn’t specify the visual settings used, it’s likely that the phone is using the lowest settings possible.

    Resolution and Quality

According to @4k_isn, the resolution might be 720p, and if the image seems pixelated, that could be because of the compression from BiliBili. The exact model of the Snapdragon 8 Elite phone isn’t mentioned either. Lots of smartphones equipped with the next-gen Qualcomm chip have been revealed in China, but this Red Dead Redemption screenshot could possibly come from the Realme GT 7 Pro.

    Gaming Capabilities

This phone had previously been seen running Assassin’s Creed Black Flag at nearly 60 FPS. Again, it’s uncertain what visual settings were used. However, it’s important to mention that the Snapdragon 8 Elite’s Adreno 840 is said to deliver 40% better performance compared to the Adreno 750 in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

In fact, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is quite competent at emulating PC games. As shown by ETA Prime, it can run games like Fallout 4 close to 60 FPS with low settings at a 720p resolution. Therefore, if the Snapdragon 8 Elite’s GPU is indeed 40% more powerful, the latest flagship phones could be fantastic for emulating PC games. Naturally, software support is also crucial.

  • Red Dead Redemption PC Port Now Available for Pre-Order

Red Dead Redemption PC Port Now Available for Pre-Order

Red Dead Redemption first came out for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 back in May 2010. Now, after nearly 14 years, Rockstar has made a big announcement: the game is finally coming to PC. It will be available on October 29, which is just 18 days away. But, there’s one important detail missing from the announcement: the price.

    Pre-Order Information

The good news is that Red Dead Redemption for PC is up for pre-order on platforms like Steam, Epic Games Store, and Rockstar’s own store. According to the listings, the game will be priced at $49.99, which is $20 more than what it originally cost on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 back in 2010.

    Enhanced Features

The PC version comes with significant improvements. Rockstar has stated that it will support native 4K resolution at refresh rates up to 144 Hz. Additionally, it will include support for AMD FSR 3.0 and Nvidia DLSS 3.7 upscaling technologies right at launch. This is especially beneficial for gaming handheld devices, as integrated GPUs can provide a much smoother experience with FSR and frame generation.

    Customization Options

Furthermore, Red Dead Redemption on PC allows players to adjust various graphics settings. Rockstar mentioned that options will be available for modifying shadow quality, draw distances, and more. Plus, the PC version will fully support keyboard and mouse controls.

It’s interesting to note that Rockstar worked with Double Eleven on this PC remaster of Red Dead Redemption. This is the same studio that handled the game’s port for the Nintendo Switch, which hasn’t been known for its performance on that handheld (Legion Go curr. $529.99 on Amazon). Let’s hope the PC version performs better than that!

Steam, Epic Games Store, and Rockstar Store are the places to go for pre-ordering.
