Realme 14x 5G is a budget smartphone that made its debut in India on December 19, 2024. A standout feature of this phone is its IP69 rating, which is quite rare among affordable devices. In India, it comes in three colors: Crystal Black, Golden Glow, and Jewel Red. The brand is also set to introduce this phone in other markets, such as Malaysia, where a new Green color will be available.
Launch Details
According to a promotional poster, the Realme 14x 5G in the Green color will be launched in Malaysia on January 24, 2025. The Crystal Black option will also be available at the same time. The specifications for the Malaysian version are likely to be the same as those of the Indian model, which you can see below.
Specifications Overview
The Indian variant of the Realme 14x 5G features a 6.67-inch HD+ IPS LCD screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz, a touch sampling rate of 180Hz, and a peak brightness of 625 nits. It has an IP68 rating for water immersion and an IP69 rating for high-pressure water resistance.
Internally, the phone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC, combined with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It operates on Android 14, utilizing Realme UI 5.0. The device boasts a large 6,000mAh battery, which supports 45W fast charging.
Camera Features
On the rear, the phone features a dual-camera setup that includes a 50 MP OV50D primary sensor, while an 8 MP front camera is used for selfies. It includes features like “AI Clear Face” to enhance the clarity of blurry images. Additionally, it has a MIL-STD 810H certification for durability and a “Free Call” option that allows calls without needing a network.
At the moment, it’s not clear what the price of the Realme 14x 5G will be in Malaysia. If we take the Indian launch prices into account, we might expect it to be priced around RM780.
