    Realme 12 Plus: Specs and Design Leaked

    After launching the Realme 12 Pro and Realme 12 Pro Plus, the brand is now gearing up to introduce Realme 12 and Realme 12 Plus. The latter was recently confirmed to go official in Malaysia on February 29.

    Complete Features and Design

    This smartphone is also expected to launch in China soon, however, we don’t have the launch date so far. Anyways, ahead of the product’s official announcement, its entire specs have leaked.

    Tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore has revealed the complete features of the upcoming Realme 12 Plus. He even shared the renders of the phone showcasing its design.

    Design and Display

    The device will sport a flat frame and a big circular camera module. It will arrive in beige and green color options. But variants will flaunt a vegan leather back.

    The handset will be equipped with a 6.67-inch flat display. This AMOLED panel will offer a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate.

    Camera and Battery

    As for optics, it will house a triple camera system on the rear. The setup will include an OIS-assisted 50MP Sony LYT-600 primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide unit, and a 2MP macro snapper. On the front, it will sport a 16MP selfie camera.

    Under the hood, the smartphone will house a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC and a 5,000mAh battery with support for 67W wired charging. The chipset will be paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.

    Software and Dimensions

    On the software front, the device will boot Realme UI 5.0 based on Android 14. Last but not least, it will measure 163 x 75.5 x 7.9 mm in dimensions and weigh 190g.

    Realme is preparing to expand its smartphone lineup with the introduction of two new models – the Realme 12 and Realme 12 Plus. While details about these phones are still scarce, a recent TENAA listing has provided some insight into the upcoming Realme 12 Plus 5G.

    Realme 12 Plus has received TENAA certification under the model number RMX3866, which matches the model number seen in other certifications for the Realme 12 Plus. The design of the phone appears to be inspired by its Pro siblings, featuring a large circular camera island and a distinctive stripe on the back. The phone also has flat frames and a teardrop notch display.

    The display of the Realme 12 Plus measures 6.67 inches and offers a full HD+ resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. It uses an AMOLED panel, which provides vibrant colors. The phone also features an in-display fingerprint scanner for enhanced security. While the TENAA listing did not reveal the refresh rate, it is expected that the display will support either a 90Hz or 120Hz refresh rate.

    Powering the Realme 12 Plus 5G is a 2.6GHz octa-core processor, although the specific chipset details have not been disclosed yet. The phone will be available in multiple RAM options, including 6GB, 8GB, 12GB, and a whopping 16GB. Similarly, there will be a variety of storage options, ranging from 128GB to 1TB. The phone is expected to run on Realme UI 5 based on Android 14.

    In terms of camera capabilities, the Realme 12 Plus 5G will feature a triple rear camera setup, consisting of a 50-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. For selfies, the phone will have a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. The device will be powered by a 5,000mAh battery, although details about the charging capabilities have not been revealed yet.

    With its TENAA certification completed, it is anticipated that the Realme 12 Plus 5G will be launched in China alongside the Realme 12 Pro series later this month. Pricing and global availability details are yet to be announced, so consumers will have to wait for further updates.
