Galaxy Tab S10 May Launch Late 2024 with Only Two Models

Samsung is set to revamp its premium tablet lineup with the introduction of the Tab S10 series, which will see the elimination of the base 11″ model. Instead, the focus will shift to the Tab S10 Plus (12.4″) and Tab S10 Ultra (14.6″). The timing of this release remains uncertain. Recently, Samsung unveiled several new products at the second Galaxy Unpacked event of the year, including the sixth generation Galaxy foldable, the Galaxy Watch 7 series, and the redesigned Galaxy Buds 3 series. However, the Galaxy Tab S10 series was notably absent from the event.

Tab S10 Series Expected Before Year-End

A representative from Samsung South Africa has confirmed that “there will be a Tab S10 series,” which is anticipated to launch before the end of this year. For context, the Tab S9 series was launched in July of the previous year. Unfortunately, no additional information about the new tablets was disclosed.

The decision to discontinue the smallest variant may be aimed at enhancing specifications and better competing with Apple’s offerings.

    Anticipated Features

Samsung is known for its high-quality AMOLED panels and sleek designs, typically powered by a flagship Snapdragon chipset. The upcoming tablets are also expected to include some Galaxy AI features. Although rumors and a Geekbench listing suggest that Samsung will use the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset for the Tab S10 series, we can look at the specifications of the predecessor to get an idea of what to expect.

The Tab S9+ and Tab S9 Ultra both feature an aluminum frame and back, supporting nano SIM and eSIM. They offer Dynamic AMOLED 2X panels, measuring 12.4″ and 14.6″ respectively, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. The Tab S9+ comes in 256GB 12GB RAM and 512GB 12GB RAM configurations, while the Ultra model adds 1TB 12GB RAM and 1TB 16GB RAM variants.

In terms of camera capabilities, both models feature a 13MP main camera and an 8MP ultrawide camera on the back, along with a 12MP front camera for video calls. The tablets support Wireless Samsung DeX via the USB C 3.2 port. The Plus and Ultra models are equipped with 10090mAh and 11200mAh batteries, respectively, and support 45W wired charging. Below are the pricing details for all storage variants of the Tab S9 series models at launch.

  • Infinix Note 40s 4G: 3D AMOLED Display, MagCharge Wireless Charging

Infinix Note 40s 4G: 3D AMOLED Display, MagCharge Wireless Charging

Details about the Infinix Note 40s 4G have emerged even though the official release date has not been announced by Infinix. The leak was reported by Passionategeekz, who found a complete specifications page for the phone on Infinix’s official site.

The Note 40s 4G shares a design and features with the Note 40 and Note 40 Pro, which were introduced in India in March. It boasts a 6.78-inch 3D curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass for protection.

    Performance and Camera

The phone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 Ultimate chip, the same as the Note 40. However, the Note 40s 4G features a dual-sensor camera setup compared to the triple-sensor arrangement on the Note 40 and Note 40 Pro.

Despite the difference, the primary 108MP sensor and 2MP macro sensor remain unchanged. The phone also includes the Halo AI lighting ring, which adjusts light based on notifications, calls, charging status, and more.

    Memory and Software

The device comes with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, which can be expanded virtually by another 8GB, and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It operates on XOS 14, which is based on Android 14, and Infinix promises two years of Android updates and three years of security patches.

    Battery and Additional Features

The Note 40s 4G is equipped with a 5000mAh battery that supports 33W fast wired charging. It also features 20W wireless charging with magCharge technology, similar to the other phones in the Note 40 series.

Other notable features include an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance, NFC support for contactless payments, and a dual-speaker setup tuned by JBL. The phone will be available in two colors: Obsidian Black and Vintage Green.

Although the phone is listed on the company’s site, Infinix has not disclosed the official launch date or the price.

Oppo Find X8 & X8 Pro Camera Specs Leaked

Tipster Digital Chat Station has recently provided insights into the camera setups of the forthcoming Oppo Find X8 series. This leak covers the camera configurations for both the standard Find X8 and the premium Find X8 Pro.

The Find X8, referred to as the “medium cup,” is set to feature a triple-camera system that includes a single periscope telephoto lens. The primary sensor is expected to be a 50MP unit with a size of 1/1.4 inches. The specifics of the other two cameras have not yet been disclosed.

    Camera and Sensor Details

The “big cup,” which likely denotes the Find X8 Pro, will boast a quad-camera array with two periscope telephoto lenses. Much like its standard counterpart, the Find X8 Pro is anticipated to sport a 50MP main sensor with a 1/1.4-inch size. This is reportedly the same Sony LYT-808 sensor used in the Find X7.

The leak also mentions that the new periscope module will use the Sony IMX882 sensor, also recognized as LYT600, which measures 1/1.953 inches.

    Processor and Display Specifications

Additionally, earlier reports indicate that the standard Oppo Find X8 will be equipped with the Dimensity 9400 processor and feature a flat display with a 1.5K resolution. The battery capacity is estimated to be between 5100mAh and 5500mAh.

In contrast, the Pro model is rumored to come with a 2.7D curved display. Both the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro are anticipated to have a glass back and are expected to be released in October of this year.

Oppo had also launched an Ultra model in the Find X7 series. It is reasonable to expect that this will be followed by the Find X8 Ultra. This Ultra model will most likely feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset and is rumored to debut next year.
