  • Oppo Reno13 Series Set for Global Launch After FCC Approval

The Oppo Reno13 is almost set to appear alongside its earlier model on Amazon.in, where the price starts at INR 27,120.99 (around $320). This comes after it received approval from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) for use as a smartphone.

    Certifications from Thailand

Both the Reno13 and its Pro version have also been granted certification by Thailand’s NBTC, confirming their model numbers as CPH2689 and CPH2697 for markets outside of China.

    Leaks and Features

Additionally, there’s been a registration with the FCC that hints at the Reno13 supporting NFC, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and worldwide 5G connectivity. It looks like the international version of this iPhone 16-like device will come in purple and white colors, even though the white wasn’t shown in its design teasers on Weibo.

    Battery and Charging Capabilities

The new filing indicates that the Reno13 will feature a large 5,600mAh battery and support 80W SuperVOOC wired charging when it launches globally. It’s likely that the 13 Pro will also have its own 5,800mAh battery with support for 50W wireless charging.

Lastly, Oppo has recently announced a partnership with MediaTek to provide both smartphones with the new Dimensity 8350 platform, enhancing their performance.

Vivo to Launch New Aura Light Mid-Range Smartphones Soon

Vivo has just announced that the S20 and S20 Pro will come in Jade Dew White and Pine Smoke Ink, along with the unique finishes of Gold Phoenix Feather and Purple Eastern Breeze that were hinted at earlier. These styles will be officially revealed on November 28, 2024, which interestingly coincides with Oppo’s Reno13 event.

    Competitive Landscape

Both sets of new Android smartphones are expected to compete for market presence in China, as each brand promotes their latest mid-range devices aimed at mobile photography enthusiasts. The S20 series claims to offer impressive specs, including a 100X Tele Zoom and Aura Light OIS Portrait features, generating considerable excitement.

    High-End Prospects

On another note, the S20 Pro could stand out as the top contender, as it is rumored to feature the Dimensity 9300+ chip, while the Reno13 Pro may only be equipped with the 8350 processor. This sets the stage for a fierce rivalry.

    Future Outlook

This battle may also play out again on a global level in 2025, where the Vivo models might be rebranded to V50 and V50 Pro. It’s a scenario worth watching as the competition heats up in the smartphone market.

Vivo shared this news via Weibo.

Oppo Reno13 Series Launch Date and Color Options Revealed

Oppo has officially announced that their Reno13 smartphone series is aimed at customers who might be interested in the iPhone 16 or 16 Plus, particularly if those models had a third rear camera and a ring flash each.

    Collaboration with Pop Idols

In addition, the series appeals to fans of K-pop, as Song Yuqi from (G)I-DLE has been chosen as the official representative for Oppo. The pop star is collaborating with the brand to promote its new devices, which will come in colors like Butterfly Purple, Galaxy Blue, and Midnight Black, along with a special Starlight Pink for the Pro version. These products are set to launch on November 25, 2024.

    Additional Product Launches

The Reno13 smartphones will be unveiled together with the Pad 3, which will also feature similar color options. However, the Enco R3 Pro earbuds seem less exciting in their promotional materials, as they are only available in a simple white color.

    Specifications and Performance

While the Reno13 and 13 Pro may not impress tech enthusiasts with their internal specs, a tipster known as @chunvn8888 has revealed that these devices will utilize the older Dimensity 8300 SoC for the international market.

This revelation isn’t too shocking, considering that the previous Reno12 Pro, which can be found on Amazon.in, runs on a Dimensity 7300 chip.
