Oppo Developing New Self-Designed Networking Chip After SUPERVOOC S

Oppo has been busy creating its own chips for displays and charging, with the goal of enhancing both display quality and user satisfaction in its top-tier devices.

    New Networking Chip

According to the popular tech insider Digital Chat Station, Oppo is in the process of developing a networking chip that is said to enhance everyday network performance. This chip is vital for those who depend on cellular connections for their mobile experience. The tipster mentioned that this new chip will be available soon, but didn’t disclose which specific model will feature it.

    Upcoming OnePlus Ace 5 Series

Past reports indicate that the OnePlus Ace 5 series smartphones are set to launch next month, and they will feature Snapdragon 8 Gen3 and 8 Elite processors. It is still uncertain if this new series will include the upcoming networking chip, but anticipation is building among fans.

Oppo’s homegrown secondary chips have raised the bar in mobile technology. The SUPERVOOC S chip, seen first in the OnePlus 11R, was recognized as the first smartphone in the world to use this advanced technology. This chip boosts charging efficiency by managing both charging and discharging processes in a smarter way, resulting in quicker charging and better battery life.

    Innovations in Charging

The SUPERVOOC S chip boasts a remarkable discharge efficiency of as high as 99.5%, which greatly enhances battery life and performance. It also features temperature control modes and smart charging optimizations, ensuring that devices charge safely and efficiently in various environments, even under extreme conditions.

Moreover, the chip improves the Battery Health Engine (BHE), aiming to prolong battery life and efficiency over time. This innovation is designed to ensure that future Oppo devices maintain excellent battery health while benefiting from faster and more efficient charging methods.

Another important development is the Display P2 chip, which builds upon the success of the first-generation Display P1 chip found in the OnePlus 12. The P1 chip was known for its high-precision pixel-level calibration technology, which enhanced image quality and brightness by up to 90% while cutting power consumption by 13%. The Display P2 chip is set to be a part of the advanced display technology in the OnePlus 13, featuring the second-generation BOE X2 screen.
