DJI Mini 5 and Neo 2 Drone Rumors Spark Excitement

On the whole, drone leakers like Igor Bogdanov, OsitaLV, and Jasper Ellens are focused on the DJI Flip, which is widely expected to be the company’s next consumer drone. Nevertheless, Ellens has also shared some other hints regarding two additional DJI drones that are on the horizon.

    Upcoming Models

To provide some context, there are circulating rumors about DJI getting ready to launch the Mavic 4 and Mavic 4 Pro very soon. Furthermore, just under a month ago, Ellens and OsitaLV were the first to mention the Mini 5 series. According to OsitaLV, unnamed sources have indicated that the Mini 5 drones are expected to arrive ‘late 2025’, likely after the Mavic 4 series is released.

    Changes in the Lineup

Additionally, Ellens has noted that DJI plans to replace the Neo (currently priced at $238 on Amazon) this year, even though this particular drone was only released in September. Interestingly, the same leaker also states that their contacts have informed them that both the Neo 2 and Mini 5 are set for a ‘simultaneous’ launch. Therefore, we can anticipate more leaks about the Neo 2 and Mini 5 appearing sometime this summer.

DJI Mavic 4 Pro Leak: Latest Flagship Drone Details Unveiled

Replacements for the Mavic 3 and Mavic 3 Pro (currently $1,989.98 on Amazon) have been eagerly anticipated for quite a while. It appears that DJI might finally be on the verge of launching the Mavic 4, potentially alongside the Mavic 4 Pro during a simultaneous event.

    Recent Developments

To summarize, the Mavic 4 Pro recently showed up at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the United States. In contrast, DJI registered the Mavic 4 with the same regulatory agency a few months prior, showcasing a bigger battery compared to the Pro version.

    Insights on the New Model

Igor Bogdanov has provided a more detailed look at the Mavic 4 Pro, which is shown below. Clearly, DJI’s upcoming premium drone will feature a revamped camera housing. However, the Mavic 4 Pro will still include three cameras, similar to its previous model.

    Future Plans

Although Bogdanov hasn’t disclosed when DJI plans to unveil the Mavic 4 Pro, recent leaks suggest that the Mavic 4 and Mavic 4 Pro could be part of a series of launches that DJI has scheduled for 2025. Additionally, it seems that the Mini 5 and Flip drones might be coming soon, as well as the Osmo Action 6 action camera.

DJI Launches RC Plus 2 Controller with O4 Video Transmission

There are currently no indications regarding the Mavic 4 series or any related enterprise drones. However, it appears that DJI has subtly rolled out the remote controller that will likely be paired with its upcoming flagship drones, such as the Inspire 4. The company has not made any official statements about this yet.

New Features of the RC Plus 2

Dronenr has discovered the next version of the RC Plus, which is priced at $1,599 on Amazon, listed alongside DJI’s new Agras T70 and T100 agricultural drones. To summarize, the RC Plus 2 introduces DJI O4 video transmission, a feature that the original RC Plus does not have since it supports drones like the Inspire 3. Consequently, the RC Plus 2 boasts a range that is 2 km longer than its earlier model.

    Design Changes and Specifications

Additionally, Dronenr has observed some modifications, such as updated speaker vents, enhanced rubber bumpers, and a slight redesign. Nevertheless, the new remote control keeps the 7-inch display and maintains the same button arrangement as its predecessor. Sadly, it is still unclear when DJI will make the RC Plus 2 available outside of China at this point.

  • DJI Mavic 4 Drone and RC Plus 2 Controller Leaked Details

DJI Mavic 4 Drone and RC Plus 2 Controller Leaked Details

DJI has introduced a number of products this year, including a fresh action camera named the Osmo Action 5 Pro, which is currently priced at $349 on Amazon. Besides that, the company has also refreshed its consumer drone lineup with the Air 3S and Neo models. Nevertheless, the Mavic 3 series continues to be the flagship drone of the company, remaining popular more than three years after it was first launched.

    New Developments in Drone Technology

Recently, various hints of potential new models have emerged online from well-known leakers. It appears that the Mavic 4 was seen alongside the Mavic 3 Pro. According to the information from those leaks, it looks like the Mavic 4 series may come with a round camera housing, marking a change from the existing Mavic 3 series design.

    Insights from Recent Footage

On the other hand, some new footage shared by @OsitaLV, @JasperEllens, and @Quadro_News suggests a different story. The video shows what is believed to be a crashed Mavic 4 Enterprise, highlighting a more rectangular design for the drone’s camera housing that protects three lenses. Sadly, there are no further details available about these cameras, but it’s possible to see several sensors mounted on the top and bottom.

    Stronger Build and New Controller

Interestingly, the upcoming drone seems to have particularly robust arms, which usually would bend in the event of a crash. Additionally, @Quadro_News has revealed the first image of a new RC Plus controller, named the RC Plus 2. There are a few design changes between the two controllers, although the general layout of the RC Plus 2 resembles that of its predecessor. It’s expected that the RC Plus 2 will be released alongside either the Mavic 4 or Mavic 4 Enterprise, which might also come equipped with bigger batteries compared to the older models. As things stand, it appears that DJI might delay the launch of either drone and their accessories until early 2025.

  • DJI Mavic 4 Battery Upgrade Leaked: Mavic 3 Pro Comparison

DJI Mavic 4 Battery Upgrade Leaked: Mavic 3 Pro Comparison

It is common knowledge that DJI is gearing up to launch the Air 3S after recently unveiling the Neo, which is currently priced at $199.99 on Amazon. New information, however, implies that DJI is also in the process of developing a next-generation series of Mavic drones.

    Mavic 4 Developments

To summarize, the Mavic 4 has made appearances in various images over the past few months. Although DJI hasn’t officially acknowledged anything yet, it seems that the company has filed documents for the same drone with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Sadly, the documents from the regulatory body do not specifically mention the Mavic 4 by name.

    Model Identification

Instead, DJI has tried to hide the identity of the device they are working on by using model numbers rather than retail names. Nevertheless, the FCC has verified that ‘JV31’ and ‘JV32’ refer to the same device, which also looks like a drone in one sketch. It is likely that these represent ‘Cine’ and ‘Pro’ versions of the Mavic 4, as suggested by leaker Jasper Ellens.

    Battery Specifications

Additionally, the FCC has indicated that the Mavic 4 could come equipped with a much larger battery compared to both the Mavic 3 and Mavic 3 Pro. According to the first image below, both ‘JV31’ and ‘JV32’ have 99.5 Wh batteries (14.76V/6,471 mAh). Therefore, we can expect the Mavic 4 to provide better flight durations than the Mavic 3 or Mavic 3 Pro, which reach maximum times of 46 minutes and 43 minutes, respectively, using a 77 Wh (15.4V/5,000 mAh) battery.
