    HONOR has initiated the rollout of the MagicOS 8.0 OTA update for HONOR X9b users in India. Following a beta testing phase, the update is now available for all HONOR X9b devices, introducing new AI capabilities and improved security features.

    What’s New in MagicOS 8.0

    MagicOS 8.0 introduces a redesigned UI that leverages AI for a more intuitive user experience, driven by HONOR’s on-device AI model, MagicLM.

    Update Availability

    The update is currently being rolled out, and all HONOR X9b users in India can now access it. To check for and install the update:

    Xiaomi 14 Civi Limited Edition Launch

    In related news, the Xiaomi 14 Civi Limited Edition featuring a Panda Design is set to launch in India on July 29, 2024. This variant will offer new mirror glass and vegan leather options, available in Pink, Monochrome, and Blue. It is expected to come with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage.     The standout features of these notebooks include seamless file transfer capabilities and cross-device window transfer functionality across Honor devices through MagicOS. Additionally, the Magic AI workbench integrated into these laptops facilitates tasks such as document summarization.

    Key Specifications and Features

    Both the 14-inch and 16-inch variants of these laptops are powered by the 4-nanometer fabricated Ryzen 7 8845HS processor, coupled with its integrated Radeon 780M GPU. The laptops offer two distinct performance modes – a 35W and 45W option for the larger 16-inch model and a 35W and 40W choice for the smaller 14-inch version. Users can effortlessly switch between these modes using the Fn+P keys. Cooling is managed through a single fan design.

    To ensure optimal performance, the X14 Plus and X16 Plus laptops are equipped with 60Whr and 75Whr batteries, respectively, both supporting 65W charging via USB-C.
