Possible New ROG NUC Mini-PC To Be Launched Soon

It seems like Asus might be prepping a fresh update for their ROG NUC mini-PC series. Nothing official has been announced, but an Asus executive was seen briefly showing off the unannounced model online. This sneaky peek was captured and shared by ITHome, which spotted the unnamed mini-PC. The pictures show it’s still without an official name, leaving everyone guessing what’s next for this sleek device.

    Design Changes And Speculation

From what has been reported, Tony Yu mentioned a ‘one new ROG NUC,’ hinting that this could be a successor to the ROG NUC 2025. The images reveal some noticeable design tweaks from its predecessor. The branding, especially the “ROG” logo and the phrase ‘For Those Who Dare,’ now stand out more boldly. Also, there’s a chance the new model could feature an RGB backlit logo, adding some visual flair.

    Hardware Possibilities And Future Specs

Asus appears to have revised the stand for this mini-PC, which now seems to gently cradle it instead of screwing into it. As for internal hardware, nothing is confirmed yet, especially since Intel’s next-gen HX processors aren’t out yet. But there’s talk of some promising options like the Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus, an Arrow Lake HX chip announced in March, which could boost performance by roughly 6% compared to the current Core Ultra 9 275HX.

The potential GPU lineup might include the GeForce RTX 5070 with 12GB of VRAM and the RTX 5090, with the RTX 5080 currently being the most robust option available in the current ROG NUC model. The company is expected to officially unveil this new mini-PC later this month in China, so stay tuned for more updates.
