BYD Qin L DM-i Hybrid Sedan: Lowest Fuel Consumption, 2100 Km Range

BYD introduced the Qin L DM-i on May 28th, marking the debut of their groundbreaking fifth-generation DM hybrid technology. This advanced system achieves the world’s highest engine thermal efficiency at 46.06% and the lowest fuel consumption of 2.9L/100km, ensuring exceptional efficiency and an extended driving range.

    Stylish and Technologically Advanced

The Qin L DM-i is a sleek sedan that merges contemporary design with state-of-the-art technology. The exterior showcases BYD’s latest family design, featuring a bold front grille, sharp LED headlights resembling “dragon crystals,” and a sporty fastback silhouette. The interior is driver-centric with a large central console screen (available in 12.8 or 15.6 inches) and a multi-function steering wheel for ease of use. High-end variants include additional comfort features such as electric seat adjustments, ventilation, and heating.

    Power and Range

The vehicle is powered by a plug-in hybrid system that combines a 1.5L engine with an electric motor. This setup, along with BYD’s blade lithium iron phosphate battery technology, offers a potential combined driving range of up to 2,100 kilometers. Drivers can select from two battery options based on their requirements: a lower capacity battery providing an 80km pure electric range or a larger battery extending that range to 120km (under CLTC conditions).

With its remarkable mix of efficiency, technology, and design, the Qin L DM-i is available in five models, starting at 99,800 yuan.

Bugatti Unveils New Hybrid V16 Engine for 445 kmph Top Speed

Bugatti recently revealed insights into their powerful new V16 engine designed for the next Chiron iteration during the “Automotive Future Summit” held in London. This hybrid engine ditches traditional turbochargers, spans nearly a meter in length, and marks the conclusion of Bugatti's production of the Mistral and Bolide models.

    Engine Power and Performance

The cutting-edge V16 engine integrates into a plug-in hybrid setup, generating over 1,000 horsepower independently. Complementing this, three electric motors come into play—two for the front wheels and one for the rear—resulting in a combined system output of a remarkable 1,800 horsepower. Bugatti proudly claims the car can accelerate from 0 to 200 km/h in just 5 seconds, achieve 300 km/h in 10 seconds, and attain an astonishing top speed of 445 km/h. Enthusiasts seeking an electric experience will appreciate the 24.8 kWh battery, providing an electric range of 80 kilometers.

    Interior and Production Details

Leaked images hint at an interior design that pays homage to a retro aesthetic, drawing inspiration from the intricate craftsmanship of Swiss mechanical watches. Anticipated production numbers are rumored to be exceptionally limited, potentially falling below the mark of 300 units.
