Honor’s recent product launch was more than just foldable phones and laptops. The company also unveiled the Honor Router 5, a budget-friendly Wi-Fi 7 router that breaks away from the standard black box design with a more daring look. Here’s a closer look at its features.

    Honor Router 5 Specifications

The Router 5 embraces the trend of integrating tech with home aesthetics seamlessly. Its rectangular shape features soft, rounded edges and a hollow center, giving it a unique, open design. The device is mainly white with a subtle orange Wi-Fi 7 logo on one side, adding a splash of color. However, the design is just one aspect.

The Honor Router 5 is equipped with 5 built-in high-performance FEM chips to ensure extensive Wi-Fi coverage. According to the company, the router can cover an area of 120 square meters with a 360-degree signal, eliminating dead zones. It includes five antennae to help achieve this. With support for 4K QAM and MLO dual-band aggregation technology, it can deliver speeds up to 3600Mbps.

    Performance and Features

The Router 5 is powered by the Link Turbo engine and supports AI network acceleration. This enables the router to adapt intelligently to various scenarios and network environments, including over 200 games, 3 online conferencing platforms, and 8 online course platforms.

The router also features AI dual-band optimization for seamless switching between Wi-Fi bands and intelligent frequency optimization for a more stable connection.

For added convenience, users can take advantage of the Honor Smart Space App, which allows them to create a floor plan of their home. The app detects signals at various locations and visually presents the Wi-Fi signal strength in different areas. Additionally, the Router 5 supports Honor Mesh networking and QR code scanning for easy setup and connection.
