Honor Magic 7 RSR & GT Series Leak: Specs and Performance Details

Honor has just announced its intention to broaden its smartphone range with the new Magic 7 RSR. Before its official debut, tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS) has provided some important information about the Magic 7 RSR and a new GT model.

    Honor Magic 7 RSR Insights

A teaser has recently revealed that the Honor Magic 7 RSR is expected to launch in December 2024. It is anticipated to maintain the design style of its predecessor, featuring a unique hexagonal camera module. According to the information from DCS, the Honor Magic 7 RSR will have a strong camera setup, which includes a 50MP main camera with adjustable aperture for better light reception in various conditions. Additionally, it will come with a powerful 200MP periscope telephoto lens, allowing for impressive zoom options. The third camera, probably an ultrawide lens, is thought to be a 50MP sensor, similar to what is found in the Magic 7 Pro.

    The Upcoming GT Device

Regarding the GT series, the tipster suggests that this device might compete with the leading brands like Redmi and iQOO in the high-performance smartphone market. Expected features include a brilliant 1.5K straight display and a larger battery. It’s likely to be powered by last year’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Given its specs and the expected launch date, this device is set to replace the Honor 90 GT and will compete directly against the Redmi K80 series and iQOO Neo 10 series. More information is likely to be released soon.

Meanwhile, Realme has introduced its flagship performance phone, the Realme GT 7 Pro. This device is equipped with the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and starts at a price of ¥3,599 (~$506) in China, making it an affordable option for gamers who also need a reliable daily smartphone.

Soon to Arrive: Honor’s Revolutionary Smartphones with 24GB RAM

Honor is preparing to launch its new GT series smartphones in China, with one of the brand executives teasing their arrival last week. Leaks suggest that there will be two devices in this series, namely the Honor 90 GT (previously known as the Honor 100 GT) and the Honor X50 GT. These smartphones will focus on delivering high performance.

Limited information is currently available about these products, but a few more important details have recently emerged. According to Digital Chat Station, both the Honor 90 GT and the Honor X50 GT will feature up to 24GB of RAM, making them the brand's first smartphones to offer such a large amount of memory.

Additionally, the tipster claims that the main camera of these devices will be equipped with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). Furthermore, the smartphones will be powered by three different chipsets and will boast eye-catching displays.

Previously, the same source had revealed that the Honor 90 GT would be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset, while the Honor X50 GT would be equipped with the Snapdragon 888. However, this is the first time we are hearing about three chipsets being involved.

Currently, it is unclear which of the two phones will house the third chipset. It is possible that the Honor 90 GT may come in two variants, each offering a different chipset.

In terms of displays, the handsets are rumored to feature flat screens. Whether these screens will be LCD or OLED panels remains unknown. There is a possibility that the smartphones may ultimately come with OLED displays.

In the coming days, we anticipate learning more about the Honor 90 GT and the Honor X50 GT. It is possible that the brand may begin officially teasing the features, especially since an executive has already hinted that the GT series will be spun off into a new separate lineup of devices, distinct from the existing number and X series.
