    The Huawei Smart Glasses 2, designed with square frames, maintain the innovative aesthetic of the Huawei smart glasses series, the latest of which is the Eyewear 2, launched in September 2023. These frames are crafted from high-density materials and feature an oversized style. They have smooth, neat lines that enhance facial contours, giving the wearer a radiant look.

    The new Huawei Smart Glasses 2 are equipped with UV400 protective lenses to effectively block ultraviolet rays. The lenses have a deep black sheen, making them a stylish accessory for outdoor activities like commuting or street photography. These smart glasses can integrate with Huawei’s smart ecosystem and connect through smart audio.

    Running on Huawei’s HarmonyOS 4, the smart glasses can automatically pair with Harmony devices such as phones and tablets. Audio from various devices can seamlessly transfer to the glasses. For instance, if a call comes in when the phone is not nearby, you can tap the temples to answer or double-click to use the Xiaomi Voice Assistant. The glasses feature numerous sensors on both sides of the temples, with a 23 mm touch area and a 35 mm sliding area, making it easy to operate without looking.

    Pricing & Availability

    The Huawei Smart Glasses 2 Square Sunglasses will be available in China starting May 24 at a launch price of 2,299 yuan ($319). There is no current information about their availability in international markets.

    To install the update, users must ensure they have a minimum of 8GB of available storage space. The update version is 4.2.0.208, and tablets should be running on previous versions like 4.0.0.157 or 4.2.0.202 to qualify for the upgrade.

    The HarmonyOS 4.2 update introduces several noticeable enhancements. It refines the gestures and animations on the tablet, providing a smoother user experience. Additionally, a feature has been added that dynamically alters the appearance of the control menu background as it is being used, enhancing the visual appeal.
