  • Xiaomi Launches Two Bluetooth Speakers with RGB and 360° Sound

Xiaomi Launches Two Bluetooth Speakers with RGB and 360° Sound

Xiaomi has discreetly introduced two new Bluetooth speakers on its global website. Known as the Xiaomi Bluetooth Speaker and the Bluetooth Speaker Mini, these devices were previously accessible only in China.

While the speakers are now listed internationally, the exact pricing details are not specified yet. Nevertheless, their prices can be inferred from their Chinese versions.

In China, the larger Xiaomi Bluetooth Speaker is priced at approximately $80, and the Bluetooth Speaker Mini is around $30. Here’s a breakdown of what each speaker offers for its price.

    Xiaomi Bluetooth Speaker

The larger Xiaomi Bluetooth Speaker features 40W of power and delivers a 360-degree sound experience with a maximum volume of 93 dB. This is achieved through two tweeters, a mid-frequency driver, and dual passive radiators.

The speaker is rated IP67 for water resistance, making it ideal for use by the pool or at the beach. It also supports HyperOS Connect for pairing with multiple devices and stereo playback. Customizable RGB lighting adds visual appeal, and the battery lasts up to 17 hours on a single charge.

    Xiaomi Bluetooth Speaker Mini

The Xiaomi Bluetooth Speaker Mini is a smaller, more portable option. It is roughly half the size and weight of its larger counterpart, measuring around 10 x 7 x 7 cm and weighing only 330g.

It employs two full-range speakers and a passive radiator to deliver 360° omnidirectional sound. The battery life is about 8 hours, which is shorter than the larger model. However, it retains features like Bluetooth connectivity, HyperOS Connect, and IP67 dust and water resistance. Additionally, it has ambient RGB lighting on the top for aesthetics.

For those eager for Xiaomi’s official global launch, the company’s current options, such as the Xiaomi Mi Portable Bluetooth Speaker, remain available through retailers like Amazon.

These existing models may serve as a suitable alternative until Xiaomi formally introduces its latest Bluetooth speaker lineup to the global market.

Vivo Watch 3 Global Launch Soon: Spotted in Singapore Certification

An upcoming smartwatch from Vivo has just surfaced online. The Vivo Watch 3 was launched in China back in November 2023. But now, it appears that its global release is also right around the corner. The wearable was spotted getting certified in Singapore, so here are all the details.

Vivo Watch 3 surfaced on SDPPI

The Chinese brand’s smartwatch was certified on the SDPPI database. It was spotted carrying the V2405 model number. Unfortunately, the certification does not confirm any finer details like its specs, design, or pricing. But we can expect the global variant to be identical to the Chinese version. Talking about the specs, the Vivo Watch 3 sports a 1.43-inch circular AMOLED display that offers an Always-on Display, 3D curved glass, and 466 x 466 resolution. This model runs on the company’s proprietary BlueOS and offers 4GB of internal storage paired with 64MB of RAM. A 505mAh battery pack powers this smartwatch. Vivo had initially claimed that this smartwatch could offer up to 16 days of battery life on a single full charge. However, the brand later admitted to error in its claims. So you can expect around 7 days of battery life with regular use.

The Vivo Watch 3 features a slimmer form factor compared to its predecessor. It comes with a stainless steel along with a rotating crown as well as a physical button. It also comes with 5ATM water resistance, which promises protection up to 5 meters of submersion. The wearable features a heart-rate monitor and a SpO2 blood oxygen sensor. • European price leaks for vanilla Xiaomi 14; Xiaomi 14 Pro not launching globally

European price leaks for vanilla Xiaomi 14; Xiaomi 14 Pro not launching globally

Xiaomi’s latest flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi 14, is set to make its global debut on February 25th. According to a leak from Techmaniacs, the smartphone will be priced at €1,099 in Greece for the 12GB RAM and 512GB storage model. This is a slight increase from the Xiaomi 13, which launched last year at €999 with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.

Changes in RAM for Global Consumers

While the Chinese models of the Xiaomi 14 boast an impressive 16GB RAM with 512GB storage or more, it seems that Xiaomi has downgraded the RAM for global consumers. The leak suggests that the 512GB variant for global consumers will be paired with 12GB of RAM instead.

    Exclusivity of Xiaomi 14 Pro

The leak also supports previous rumors that the Pro version of the Xiaomi 14 will remain exclusive to China. This is likely because Xiaomi plans to launch the Xiaomi 14 Ultra alongside the standard model. Xiaomi seems to be betting that consumers will either choose the base Xiaomi 14 or opt for the feature-packed Ultra, making the Xiaomi 14 Pro a less desirable option among consumers.

Titanium Edition of Xiaomi 14 Ultra

According to a recent report, there is a special titanium edition of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra in development. This edition is said to come in a 16GB+1TB configuration only. There will also be a standard model in the same configuration, expected to start at a price tag of 7299 yuan (~USD 1,000). The titanium edition, however, will cost at least 500 yuan more (~USD 70).

Both the vanilla Xiaomi 14 and the Ultra models will come with flagship features such as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, a Leica co-engineered camera, and a high-resolution AMOLED display. As soon as new details become available, we will keep you informed about the Xiaomi 14 series.
