Oppo Reno 12 Series Unveiled for Global Market, Launch Soon

Last month, Oppo introduced the Reno 12 and 12 Pro, featuring the Dimensity 8250 and Dimensity 9200+ chipsets, respectively. The brand has now confirmed that it will launch the Reno 12 series globally later this month. Recently, the first teasers for the global market were released, revealing the design of the new Reno phones.

    Oppo Reno 12 Series Teased

Oppo Europe and Global’s X handles have started teasing the Reno 12 series. The official community platform is also running a contest to select a product ambassador for the lineup, accepting applications until June 30. This hints that the global launch might take place on or after this date. However, since there is no official confirmation of the launch date, it’s best to await the formal announcement.

To recap, the Reno 11 and 11 Pro were unveiled earlier this year. Both models featured a front curved-edge display and a vertical pill-shaped camera module on the back panel, housing three cameras and an LED flash. While the front design of the Reno 12 series is still under wraps, the rear camera module appears to be less prominent compared to previous generations. It somewhat resembles the camera module of the Reno 6 series, which was launched in July 2021.

Global Launch for Apple’s Vision Pro Headset Expected in July

Apple’s mixed reality headset, the Vision Pro, is gearing up for a global release this July, according to insiders. Here’s a closer examination:

The sales of Vision Pro have stabilized, and even decreased since the launch

This development follows a decline in interest in the Vision Pro within the US market. Apple is targeting a July release in international markets, likely in the third or fourth week, to rekindle consumer enthusiasm. An official launch date might even be announced during Apple’s WWDC keynote on June 10th. This global rollout is later than some analysts, such as Guo Mingchi, had anticipated, who expected a release before WWDC.

    Preparation for International Launch

Hints of the global launch are emerging in some Apple Stores. For example, UK stores have received a significant shipment of sofas, likely for Vision Pro demonstrations, though staff are currently prohibited from opening the boxes. Additionally, Apple Stores are updating their Avenues areas to better showcase Vision Pro accessories, indicating a planned visual update for July.

The high price of $3,500 remains a potential hurdle for the headset’s adoption, and Apple has yet to disclose pricing for international markets. The WWDC keynote might provide further details on this.

    Certification and Expected Markets

The path to launch in China appears clear as the Vision Pro has secured the country’s 3C certification.

Leaks suggest that other countries expected to receive the Vision Pro post-WWDC include Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Singapore, and South Korea. With the WWDC just around the corner, more information regarding the official launch date and international pricing for the Apple Vision Pro is anticipated.
