Reports in recent months have strongly suggested that Samsung plans to unveil a new foldable smartphone next year, known as the Galaxy Z Flip FE. Recent leaks have added credibility to these claims.
Confirmation of Development
According to Erencan Yilmaz, Samsung is indeed working on the Galaxy Z Flip FE, which has been identified in the GSMA database. The device carries the model number "SM-F761B," signifying that it will be available worldwide, unlike the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, which was only for the Korean market. Interestingly, the device is also referred to as the "Galaxy Z Flip XE," but this is probably just a mistake.
Expected Pricing and Launch Date
The Z Flip FE is expected to debut in 2025 as a more budget-friendly version of the Galaxy Z Flip7. Samsung aims to build on the successful sales of its Flip series by introducing a more accessible model at a lower price point. Given this strategy, the anticipated MSRP for the Flip FE is around $700, positioning it against Motorola’s upcoming 2025 Razr model. It’s still unclear whether the Flip FE will launch alongside the standard Flip7 in July or August, but that seems like a reasonable prediction.
New Galaxy Watch Classic Coming Soon
Besides the Galaxy Z Flip FE, Samsung is also preparing to introduce a new Galaxy Watch Classic model. After skipping this version for the Galaxy Watch5 and Galaxy Watch7 series, the Watch8 Classic seems to be on the horizon, as it has been found online with the model number "SM-L505U."
