Leaker Arsène Lupin has revealed fresh information about the upcoming update for Samsung’s Galaxy Watch. It appears that there will indeed be a new Galaxy Watch Ultra (current price: $336.99 on Amazon). To summarize, Evan Blass posted images of three new Galaxy Watch models yesterday. These are expected to launch this summer, branded as the Galaxy Watch8, Galaxy Watch8 Classic, and Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025).

    Galaxy Watch8 Specifications

Lupin claims that the Galaxy Watch8 will have the most SKUs of any Samsung smartwatch released this year. In a post on X, he confirms that the Galaxy Watch8 will come in both 40 mm and 44 mm sizes, each available in Wi-Fi and LTE versions. Additionally, both sizes are likely to be offered in Graphite and Silver colors.

    Classic and Ultra Models

On the other hand, Samsung might only offer the Galaxy Watch8 Classic and Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025) in single size options. The Classic will be 46 mm, while the Ultra will measure 47 mm. According to Lupin, the Galaxy Watch8 Classic will have both Wi-Fi and LTE versions, just like the standard model.

The Classic will be available in Black and White. In contrast, the Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025) will be available in Titanium Blue, Titanium Grey, and Titanium Silver. This new competitor to the Apple Watch Ultra is expected to have double the storage of the previous model, totaling 64 GB. However, pricing details for the three upcoming Galaxy Watch models have yet to be disclosed.

    Key Takeaways

    1. The Galaxy Watch6 Classic was launched in summer 2023 and may be replaced by the Galaxy Watch8 Classic in 2025.
    2. The Galaxy Watch8 Classic design combines elements from the Galaxy Watch6 Classic and Galaxy Watch Ultra.
    3. It features a rotating dial, two physical buttons, a digital crown, and a unique band system.
    4. The dimensions of the Galaxy Watch8 Classic are approximately 46 x 46.5 x 14.2 mm, likely marketed as a 47 mm case size.
    5. The Galaxy Watch8 Classic is expected to be revealed in July at the next Galaxy Unpacked event alongside other new products.

The Galaxy Watch6 Classic has been out for a bit now, first shown to the world in the summer of 2023, alongside the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Z Flip5 (currently priced at $488 – renewed on Amazon). Though Samsung shifted focus to the Galaxy Watch Ultra last year, a recent beta version of One UI Watch suggests that the Classic could make a comeback in 2025 as part of the Galaxy Watch8 lineup.

Sneak Peek of the Galaxy Watch8 Classic

Recently, OnLeaks has shared an initial detailed glimpse of the upcoming Galaxy Watch8 Classic, in collaboration with SammyGuru. Technically, the Galaxy Watch8 Classic is set to take the place of the Galaxy Watch6 Classic. However, the design presented appears to blend features from not only the Galaxy Watch6 Classic but also last year’s Galaxy Watch Ultra.

    Design Features and Specifications

In terms of design, the Galaxy Watch8 Classic boasts a rotating dial that fits snugly into a squircle-shaped case. Additionally, Samsung has added two physical buttons and a digital crown, along with its unique band system. Reports indicate that the Galaxy Watch8 Classic will have dimensions of 46 x 46.5 x 14.2 mm, which Samsung will likely market as a 47 mm case size. As it stands, the Galaxy Watch8 Classic is anticipated to be unveiled alongside the Galaxy Watch8, Galaxy Z Fold7, and Galaxy Z Flip7 this coming July at Samsung’s next Galaxy Unpacked event.

  • Samsung Galaxy Z Flip FE and Watch 8 Classic Plans Leaked

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip FE and Watch 8 Classic Plans Leaked

Reports in recent months have strongly suggested that Samsung plans to unveil a new foldable smartphone next year, known as the Galaxy Z Flip FE. Recent leaks have added credibility to these claims.

    Confirmation of Development

According to Erencan Yilmaz, Samsung is indeed working on the Galaxy Z Flip FE, which has been identified in the GSMA database. The device carries the model number “SM-F761B,” signifying that it will be available worldwide, unlike the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, which was only for the Korean market. Interestingly, the device is also referred to as the “Galaxy Z Flip XE,” but this is probably just a mistake.

    Expected Pricing and Launch Date

The Z Flip FE is expected to debut in 2025 as a more budget-friendly version of the Galaxy Z Flip7. Samsung aims to build on the successful sales of its Flip series by introducing a more accessible model at a lower price point. Given this strategy, the anticipated MSRP for the Flip FE is around $700, positioning it against Motorola’s upcoming 2025 Razr model. It’s still unclear whether the Flip FE will launch alongside the standard Flip7 in July or August, but that seems like a reasonable prediction.

New Galaxy Watch Classic Coming Soon

Besides the Galaxy Z Flip FE, Samsung is also preparing to introduce a new Galaxy Watch Classic model. After skipping this version for the Galaxy Watch5 and Galaxy Watch7 series, the Watch8 Classic seems to be on the horizon, as it has been found online with the model number “SM-L505U.”
