Fujitsu FMV Note U AI Laptop: Intel Core Ultra 7, 848g Weight
Japanese electronics company Fujitsu, known for their durable and lightweight laptops, has introduced the new Fujitsu FMV Note U laptop, which tips the scales at just 848 grams (around 1.87 pounds).
Powerful Performance
The FMV Note U comes equipped with Intel’s Lunar Lake processors, with options that go up to an Intel Core Ultra 7 258V, which includes 4 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores. It supports a maximum of 32GB of LPDDR5x-8533 RAM and has Intel Arc 140V integrated graphics. The base model features an Intel Core Ultra 7 256V, 16GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage, with upgrade options for memory and storage available for an extra fee. The laptop’s dimensions are 308.8 x 209 x 17.3mm, and it packs a 64Wh battery.
Display and Connectivity
The display is a 14-inch IPS panel with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels and a 16:10 aspect ratio. Connectivity options include two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, HDMI, Ethernet, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a microSD card reader. Notable features are a backlit keyboard, a 2MP IR camera that supports Windows Hello, a fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, WiFi 7, and Bluetooth capabilities.
Pricing and Availability
The FMV Note U is currently available in Japan, starting at ¥214,000 (around $1,375). Higher-end configurations that offer additional memory or storage will come at a higher price. There is still no confirmation on when it will be available globally.

Fujitsu FMV Note U AI Laptop: 36-Hour Battery, Intel Lunar Lake, 1.85 lbs
Fujitsu says that their latest FMV Note U is the lightest Copilot+ laptop in the world. Weighing in at just 1.85 lbs, it surely ranks among the lightest laptops available. Even with its slim design, the company has successfully incorporated a fairly sizable 64Wh battery, promising up to 36 hours of battery life when in idle mode.
Battery Performance
When it comes to watching videos, the battery life dips down to 15.5 hours, and it’s probably even less when using office applications or browsing the internet. Given its incredibly light weight, this super thin Windows laptop still offers a significant battery alongside an efficient Intel Core Ultra 7 258V processor. This chip includes four performance cores that can reach boost speeds of up to 4.8 GHz, four efficiency cores, and the fast Intel Arc Graphics 140V. The chassis meets the MIL-STD-810H certification, indicating that it is quite robust and durable.
Connectivity Options
The ultrabook comes with a good variety of ports, which includes two USB-C ports with Thunderbolt 4 support, two USB-A ports, HDMI 2.1, a microSD card reader, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and even Gigabit Ethernet, which is uncommon in this weight category. Additionally, the FMV Note U supports Wi-Fi 7. The device features a 14-inch 16:10 IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels, along with a fingerprint sensor and a 1080p webcam.
Availability and Pricing
Currently, the Fujitsu FMV Note U UA-K1 ultrabook is only sold in Japan. The base model, which comes with a Core Ultra 5 226V, 16 GB of RAM, and 256 GB SSD storage, is priced at ¥214,000 ($1,375). The top-of-the-line configuration features a Core Ultra 7 258V, 32 GB of RAM, and a 2 TB SSD, costing ¥332,800 ($2,139). Officially, Fujitsu’s notebooks are available only in Japan and the US, meaning that potential buyers from Europe will need to import the new FMV Note U.

Fujitsu Launches FMV Zero WU5/J3: Lightest 14-Inch Laptop
Fujitsu has introduced the FMV Zero Lifebook WU5/J3, claiming it to be the lightest 14-inch laptop globally. This device features a durable carbon fiber build that meets MIL-STD-810H standards for drop, shock, and pressure resistance. Additionally, it is equipped with an AI NPU and various connectivity options.
Weight and Battery Life
The FMV Zero weighs just 634 grams (or 1.4 pounds) and offers a battery life ranging from 6.0 to 11.0 hours. For connectivity, it includes two USB-A ports, two USB-C ports, a full-sized HDMI port, an Ethernet port, a laptop lock slot, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a microSD card slot.
Performance Specifications
The Lifebook can be customized with either an Intel Core Ultra 5 125U or an Intel Core Ultra 7 155U processor. Both options come with integrated AI Boost NPUs, enabling hardware acceleration for AI services such as CoPilot in Windows 11 and Office 2024. Users can choose between 8GB and 64GB of RAM, as well as storage options ranging from 256GB to 2TB of SSD.
Advanced Features
Users have the convenience of logging into Windows 11 via fingerprint or facial recognition. The laptop also includes AI-driven Noise Cancellation software that can learn to identify the user’s voice, effectively filtering out other speakers and background sounds during video calls. Moreover, Umore, a beauty-enhancing AI software, tracks users in 3D and applies skin corrections and virtual makeup, working alongside Windows Studio Effects to keep the user’s face framed perfectly.
The Fujitsu FMV Zero Lifebook WU5/J3 starts at an MSRP of 197,900 yen (approximately $1,325). Customers can place preorders now through the FMV Web Shop, with deliveries expected to commence in mid-November. Sadly, for those outside Japan, options are limited to heavier laptops. For instance, the Surface Pro 10 tablet, available on Amazon, weighs 879 grams (1.9 pounds), making it 39% heavier than the FMV Zero.
