Oppo Find X8 Pro Outlasts iPhone 16 Pro Max in Battery Life

The Oppo Find X8 series is set to debut on October 24. After revealing a new dual-port 120W charger, the company has now disclosed the battery size of the Pro model along with some notable battery life statistics that exceed expectations.

    Impressive Battery Capacity

The Oppo Find X8 Pro is equipped with a large 5910mAh battery, which is quite remarkable given the size of the phone. This battery utilizes Oppo’s innovative glacier battery technology, which provides an 18% boost in capacity and reduces thickness by 13% compared to its predecessor.

    Enhanced Battery Life

Thanks to the upgraded battery tech and larger capacity, the device shows a remarkable boost in battery performance. A company official stated that the Find X8 Pro can record 5.3 hours of Dolby Vision HDR video in -20℃ conditions, whereas the iPhone 16 Pro Max shuts down after roughly 10 minutes. Under normal conditions, the battery life reaches 7.2 hours, an increase from the iPhone’s 5.0 hours.

The phone also excelled in video streaming, achieving 29.3 hours of usage compared to 27.7 hours on the latest iPhone 16 Pro Max. This marks a significant milestone for Oppo’s flagship model.

    Slimmer Design

The Find X8 Pro is only 8.24mm thick, making it noticeably slimmer than the Find X7 Ultra at 9.5mm and the base Find X7 at 8.7mm, both of which have 5000mAh batteries. This indicates that the new battery technology not only conserves internal space but also provides enhanced capacity.

Weighing in at 215g, the phone is 6g lighter than the Find X7 Ultra. The Find X8 Pro features a 6.78″ almost flat display on the front and includes a quick-start button located at the bottom right corner of the device.

    Cutting-Edge Performance

In terms of performance, both the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro are among the first smartphones to include the Dimensity 9400 chipset, which brings considerable enhancements to CPU, GPU, and AI processing abilities.

  • Vivo X200 Pro Mini Live Images Show Off Chunky Camera Bump

Vivo X200 Pro Mini Live Images Show Off Chunky Camera Bump

We’re only a few days away from the launch of the Vivo X200 series, and like always, leaks are popping up more frequently as the release approaches. After a recent leak hinted at the price range for the X200 phones, we now have the first live photos of the smallest model in the series — the Vivo X200 Pro Mini.

Vivo X200 Pro Mini Live Images

The X200 Pro Mini is an intriguing new addition from Vivo to its flagship series, especially since compact smartphones usually face challenges in the market. For example, Apple stopped its mini iPhone line in favor of a Plus version due to poor sales.

Nevertheless, there remains a group of users who value smaller devices, and the X200 Pro Mini is likely to catch their attention. In the live image shared below, we can observe that the phone has a compact design and showcases a round camera module on its rear side.

    Design and Features

While the design isn’t shocking, it aligns with what has been shown in earlier leaks, potentially giving us the first glimpse at the phone’s prominent camera bump. This bump accommodates three rear cameras, including a telephoto lens, paired with the expected Zeiss tuning. Additionally, the white lines on the frame indicate that the device is constructed from metal. The final image also shows a speaker and a USB-C port located on the bottom.

    Specifications Overview

Talking about the specifications, a previous report indicates that the Vivo X200 Pro Mini will serve as a smaller version of its larger X200 Pro counterpart. The name itself makes that pretty clear, to be honest.

The Pro Mini will likely come with a 6.3-inch OLED display featuring top-tier capabilities, such as a 120Hz LTPO refresh rate and a 1.5K resolution. It is anticipated to be powered by the Dimensity 9400 chipset, much like the X200 and X200 Pro.

Additionally, the Pro Mini is expected to adopt the Pro’s camera configuration, rumored to include a 50MP Sony LYT-818 main sensor (1/1.28″ size), a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 200MP periscope telephoto lens. The Vivo X200 series is likely to ship with OriginOS 5 based on Android 15, and it is expected to provide enhanced AI integration.

  • Oppo Find X8: Telephoto Macro Camera, 5000mAh+ Battery Expected

Oppo Find X8: Telephoto Macro Camera, 5000mAh+ Battery Expected

Oppo is anticipated to unveil the Find X8 this October. Meanwhile, the Find X8 Ultra is expected to debut in the first quarter of 2025. As the launch approaches, more details about the Find X8 series are emerging, with a recent leak from tipster Smart Pikachu providing insights into the telephoto camera and battery size of the X8.

Oppo Find X8 Telephoto Macro Camera and Battery Size Leak

According to the information, Oppo is testing a telephoto macro lens for the Find X8 series. While a telephoto lens typically captures clearer images of distant objects, a telephoto macro lens combines this capability with that of a macro lens, allowing it to capture detailed shots of both distant subjects and very small, close-up objects.

When questioned about the battery size of the Find X8, the leaker mentioned it would be over 5,000mAh. This suggests the battery could range from 5,100mAh to 5,500mAh. Previous reports indicate that the Find X8 will feature the Dimensity 9400 chipset, which is based on TSMC’s advanced second-generation 3nm N3E process.

    Configuration and Performance Enhancements

In terms of configuration, the D9400 chip is expected to include one Cortex-X5 super core running at 3.4GHz, three Cortex-X4 super cores, and four Cortex-A7 series large cores. This new chipset is projected to offer significant improvements over its predecessor, including a 34 percent reduction in power consumption and an 18 percent increase in performance at the same power and complexity levels.

The Find X8 Ultra is speculated to come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset. Additionally, there are rumors about a third model, tentatively named the Find X8 Pro. However, there is currently no solid evidence to confirm its existence.
