This new launch offers two variants with distinct specifications, both aimed at gaming enthusiasts. A standout feature of the tablet is its transparent back panel design, a first in its category, which gives it a futuristic aesthetic.     Red Magic Gaming Tablet Pro Launches in China

    The most notable feature of the Red Magic Gaming Tablet Pro is its Deterium transparent design. The left side of the back panel includes a transparent strip containing a camera sensor and LED flash unit at the top, with a circuit board design in the background that includes imprinted texts like the processor name, cooling system, and branding, which can illuminate and change colors. The tablet is constructed with a CNC aluminum mid-frame and a metal back cover.

    Regarding the display, the Red Magic Gaming Tablet Pro boasts a 10.9-inch screen with a 2.8K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate for crystal-clear and immersive visuals. The 3D Explorer Edition features a 12.1-inch 144Hz display, allowing users to toggle between 2D and 3D modes.

    Inside, the Red Magic Gaming Tablet Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version processor, while the 3D Explorer Edition is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. It offers up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The device includes a 3D internal circulation air duct, a 3D heat pipe, and a large under-screen heat dissipation alloy. The tablet is fueled by a 10,100mAh battery supporting 120W fast charging, with the 3D Explorer Edition topping out at 66W and featuring 5G compatibility.

    Despite its gaming focus, the Red Magic Gaming Tablet Pro is equipped with a 50MP rear camera and a 20MP front-facing camera for selfies. The 3D Explorer Edition comes with 13MP dual rear cameras and 8MP dual front cameras. In terms of audio, there are four-channel speakers.

    Pricing and Availability

    The Red Magic Gaming Tablet Pro is priced at CNY 4,099 for the 12GB + 256GB version, and CNY 4,599 for the 16GB + 512GB model. The highest-end configuration, with 24GB + 1TB, is available for CNY 5,699. The 3D Explorer Edition is available at CNY 6,499 for the 12GB + 256GB variant, and CNY 7,299 for the 12GB + 512GB version.

    Just a couple of weeks ago, Microsoft unveiled its latest creation, a special edition Xbox controller named Sky Cipher. This controller became available for pre-orders on July 31, 2024, and has now been officially released. It features a striking see-through design.

    The Xbox Wireless Controller by Microsoft now comes in a transparent blue design, known as the Sky Cipher Special Edition. This version can be pre-ordered right now from the Microsoft Store for $69.99, with an official release date of August 13, 2024. The controller showcases a distinct cool blue hue with a transparent front, maintaining this aesthetic except for the back, grips, and buttons.

According to an official blog post, the Sky Cipher Xbox Controller is the first to use environmentally friendly packaging. Additionally, Microsoft has managed to reduce the packaging size by 22 percent and its weight by 21 percent, thereby minimizing the carbon footprint of the controller’s supply chain.

    Aside from its unique design, the wireless controller remains identical to the standard one shipped with the Xbox Series X or Series S. Users will still get a 3.5mm audio jack, USB-C connectivity, and up to 40 hours of battery life. It’s worth noting that this release from Microsoft comes just days after Sony introduced its own special edition PS5 DualSense controller, inspired by the upcoming PlayStation exclusive game Astro Bot.
