HyperOS 2.1 Launching Worldwide in February 2025
Xiaomi has rebranded its Android interface to HyperOS, moving away from the familiar MIUI name, which has been used since the company’s entry into the smartphone industry. The latest version, HyperOS 2.1, is available in China. Initially, it was believed that this version would be limited to that region, but a blog named Xiaomitime has reportedly found the “Global” version of the firmware, labeled OS2.0.100.0.VNAMIXM.
Features of HyperOS 2.1
The new HyperOS 2.1 for international models is said to bring “Super Xiao Ai” to compatible devices, enhancing the AI experience. Additionally, it appears to introduce a feature similar to BeaconLink, which is a short-range communication tool that works without Wi-Fi or SIM, similar to what OnePlus smartphones offer.
Moreover, this update is expected to enhance gaming, improve camera functionalities, and refine the home screen user experience. HyperOS 2.1 is reportedly built on Android 15 and updates the security patch level to January 2025.
Update Timeline
The global version of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra is anticipated to be the first device to receive this update, which makes sense since it is currently Xiaomi’s top-tier device priced at $1,059.50 on Amazon in many regions. The rollout for all eligible devices could take place by the end of February 2025.

In a tweet from the official ASUS account, they mentioned that the Zenfone 12 Ultra has undergone a “makeover” that fuses style with technology. However, since we can only see the front view, it’s difficult to observe these design changes. From the front, the Zenfone 12 Ultra seems to resemble the Zenfone 11 Ultra, featuring thin bezels surrounding the display and a centrally placed punch hole for the selfie camera.
Performance and Specifications
Recently, the ASUS Zenfone 12 Ultra was detected on GeekBench, confirming that it will have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. This means you can expect top-notch performance from this device. The initial teaser also pointed towards new AI features. This processor comes with 16GB of RAM, and the phone is likely to run on Android 15 OS right out of the box.
Potential Comparisons with Previous Models

Nothing Phone (1) Android 15 Update Now Available
Nothing has begun rolling out Nothing OS 3.0 for the Nothing Phone (1). This latest version of the OS is based on Android 15, which is the newest operating system from Google.
Release Background
The Nothing Phone (1) was officially launched in 2022, originally running on Android 12. As the device is expected to receive three updates to its operating system, Android 15 is probably the final major update it will get.
New Features
Along with the enhancements that come with Android 15, Nothing has added some extra features to its custom interface, Nothing OS 3.0. One notable new feature is called Shared Widgets, which lets users share their widgets with family and friends. Samsung Galaxy A26 5G: Slimmer Design and Smaller Battery Updates
Another device from the Galaxy A series is coming soon. The Samsung Galaxy A26 5G has been noticed on BIS and Bluetooth SIG listings, suggesting that its release is imminent.
Key Features Revealed from a Case Listing
A recent case listing found by MySmartPrice has unveiled important information about the Galaxy A26 5G. It will have a 6.64- or 6.7-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Additionally, the battery capacity is set to be 4,565mAh, which is a decrease from the 5,000mAh battery of the Galaxy A25. In terms of size, the phone will be 164 x 77.5 x 7.7 mm and will weigh 209 grams, making it a bit bigger but still slim and light. This model is thinner than the previous version, which was 8.3 mm thick and weighed 197g.
Software and Launch Timeline
On the software side, the Galaxy A26 5G is expected to come equipped with Android 15 straight out of the box, providing users with the latest features and security upgrades from Samsung and Google. The launch of the Galaxy A26 looks to be very near, as it’s been over a year since the last model was introduced.

As per the Geekbench listing, the phone will be powered by an overclocked version of the Exynos 1280 chipset, which is the same chipset used in the Galaxy A25. It will be available with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

Nothing Phone (1) Android 15 Update: New Features & Design
Nothing has released the stable Nothing OS 3.0 update for its first smartphone, the Nothing Phone (1). The update, numbered V3.0-250108-1938, has a size of 1.46GB and is being rolled out to certain users today, with more users expected to receive it shortly.
New Features Introduced
This update brings Shared Widgets, allowing users to show Photo Widgets on their home screens to connect with their friends and family. Currently, this feature is in beta and is limited to Nothing devices, but plans are underway to broaden the range of compatible widgets in the future.

You can now drag the pop-up view anywhere on the screen for better multitasking. It can be resized by dragging the bottom corners and pinned to the edge of the screen for quick reach. Swipe down notifications to access the pop-up view easily without leaving your current app. This can be activated in Settings > Special features > Pop-up view.
Elevated Design
Quick Settings has been redesigned for a better editing experience, letting you customize shortcuts effortlessly. The widget library has also been improved, allowing you to choose from your favorite Nothing Widgets or explore third-party options. The Settings menu now has updated visuals, displaying current connection in Network & Internet and Bluetooth options. New animations for fingerprint unlocking and charging have also been added.
Other Improvements
The AI can learn your app usage habits to prioritize frequently used apps, keeping them active longer for a smoother experience. There’s also an auto-archive function to help manage storage without removing apps or data. New partial screen sharing allows recording of just an app window instead of the entire screen. The setup wizard has been updated to version 3.0 for a smoother welcome, and predictive back animations are available for apps that have opted in.

After delivering the Android 15 update to its current flagship model, the Xperia 1 VI, several months ago, Sony is now focusing on its 2023 flagship, the Xperia 1 V. The tech giant has started to roll out the stable Android 15 update to owners of the Xperia 1 V.

This OTA update, identified by the version number “67.2.A.2.41,” has a size of only 1061.5 MB, showcasing how lightweight Sony’s user interface is. The Redmi Turbo 4 features a rear camera arrangement with a vertical dual-camera system, boasting a 50-megapixel setup highlighted by red accents. Its back cover showcases a striking red line that runs vertically through the frosted matte glass, creating a dual-tone appearance. The overall design gives off a vibe similar to the iPhone 16.
