    On July 13, Asus launched the ROG Ally X gaming handheld in China. This console, which had its global debut the previous month, offers several enhancements over its predecessor, the ROG Ally Z1 Extreme model. It is priced at 5,799 yuan ($797) on JD.com in China and is also available globally for $799.

    The Asus ROG Ally X is powered by an AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme Processor, built on Zen 4 architecture and a 4nm process, featuring 8 cores and 16 threads. It has a 7-inch FHD (1920 x 1080) 120Hz IPS-level LCD display with a 16:9 aspect ratio, 100% sRGB color gamut, and a glossy finish protected by Corning Gorilla Victus. This handheld device comes with 24GB LPDDR5X-7500 RAM and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD (2280), ensuring ample storage and quick data access.

    Battery and Connectivity

    The ROG Ally X is equipped with an 80Wh Li-ion battery and supports 65W USB Type-C charging. It runs on Windows 11 Home and features a new dual fan system that enhances airflow by 10% for better cooling. Connectivity options include a Thunderbolt 4 port with DisplayPort support, a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a UHS-II microSD card reader, Wi-Fi 6E (triple-band), and Bluetooth 5.2. For audio, it offers Hi-Res certified sound with AI noise-cancellation.

    Enhanced Design

    The device also benefits from an improved internal cooling system, better airflow, and enhanced display cooling. The redesigned ergonomic chassis includes deeper handgrips, improved joysticks and D-pad, repositioned controls, and a recessed fingerprint sensor.

Initially introduced to the global market in June, the ROG Ally X features the powerful AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme CPU and boasts an impressive 80Wh battery capacity. This new gaming handheld presents several enhancements over its predecessor, including a memory capacity of 24GB and an M.2 2280 solid-state drive slot.

    Enhanced Specifications and Features

    Announced just last month, the ASUS ROG Handheld X succeeds the first-generation ASUS ROG Handheld. It offers twice the battery capacity and doubles the hard drive space to 1TB compared to its initial version. The memory has also seen an upgrade to 24GB LPDDR5X-7500. Additionally, the joystick module now has an extended lifespan of 5 million activations, compared to the previous 2 million. The joystick’s spring mechanism feels tighter and is easily replaceable. The D-Pad cross-key design has been improved to provide clearer feedback.

    Modern Connectivity and Cooling System

    The ASUS ROG Handheld X includes two Type-C interfaces on top, replacing the XG Mobile graphics card slot from the original model. One USB-C port supports USB4, while the other is rated USB 3.2 Gen 2. Both interfaces are compatible with PD 3.0 charging and DisplayPort 1.4. The handheld features an upgraded zero-gravity cooling system capable of dissipating up to 30W of heat. The fan in the cooling system is smaller, but it moves more air.     Lenovo has introduced its inaugural Windows-based handheld console, the Legion Go, in India. Running on Windows 11, the device delivers a conventional PC experience in a compact, portable design. It also comes with detachable controllers for added convenience. Here’s an overview of the Lenovo Legion Go’s specifications and pricing in India.

    Specifications

    The Legion Go features an 8.8-inch IPS touchscreen with a WQXGA resolution of 2560×1600 pixels, ensuring crisp visuals. The display supports a 144Hz refresh rate for fluid gameplay and is safeguarded by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for enhanced durability.

    Internally, the console is equipped with an AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor, complemented by 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Storage options reach up to 1TB SSD, and there’s a microSD card slot for further expansion.

    Controllers are vital for handheld gaming, and the Legion Go provides a familiar layout with Hall Effect joysticks for precise control. The left and right controllers can detach from the main device, offering a traditional console feel or use in a detached mode.

    Enhanced Control Options

    Notably, the right controller can convert into an ergonomic mouse. Both controllers include a small buttonless touchpad for additional navigation capabilities.

    For connectivity, the Legion Go supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 for smooth online gaming and accessory connections. The device also features two USB 4 Type-C ports, two Pogo pin connectors, a headphone jack, and a MicroSD card reader.

    According to Lenovo, the Legion Go has a 49.2Wh battery with Super Rapid Charge support, allowing it to charge from 0 to 100% in just 80 minutes. The console’s dimensions are 298.83 x 131 x 40.7 mm, and it weighs 854g.

    Price and Availability

    The Lenovo Legion Go will be available starting July 1st in India. It is offered in a single Shadow Black color and can be purchased from Flipkart, the Lenovo website, and select Lenovo-exclusive stores. Priced at Rs. 89,990, it comes with a one-year accidental damage protection plan and a free screen protector.
