Nevertheless, developer GaryOderNichts has managed to get Doom up and running on the device. For reference, GaryOderNichts is the same developer who discovered how to install custom firmware on Alarmo.

    Custom Code Runs Smoothly

    In a surprising twist, running custom code on Alarmo doesn’t require any disassembly. It’s worth noting that the Doom port does have some restrictions. For instance, it currently lacks audio support. Still, this seems to be just the beginning of what Alarmo hacking can achieve.

    GaryOderNichts mentioned on X (previously known as Twitter) that incorporating LED features “should be somewhat straightforward.” Additionally, the developer has plans to add Wi-Fi connectivity in the future.
