iQOO is set to launch the Neo 10R smartphone in India shortly. The first teaser was released just yesterday, and the company has revealed details about the phone’s design and chipset on Amazon.
Neo 10R’s Design and Processor
The Neo 10R showcases a unique design that differs from the Neo 10 and Neo 10 Pro, which were unveiled in China last November. Unlike the latter models that feature a rectangular camera layout, the Neo 10R adopts a square module with smooth edges for its dual-camera system. The LED flash is located to the left, outside of the module. An inscription of “OIS” indicates that the primary lens will support optical image stabilization, which is a significant feature.
Moreover, another teaser has confirmed that the smartphone will run on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC. This processor includes one Cortex-X4 core clocked at 3GHz, four Cortex-A720 cores at 2.8GHz, and three Cortex-A520 cores running at 2GHz.
Additional Specifications
A previous report states that iQOO will offer the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 with two combinations of RAM and storage: 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB. The front of the device will display a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate and a 16MP selfie camera. On the rear, there will be a 50MP Sony LYT-600 main sensor along with an 8MP ultrawide lens.
The phone will be powered by a substantial 6,400mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging. The Neo 10R is anticipated to come in two color variants: Blue White Slice and Lunar Titanium.
Pricing and Competition
The device is likely to be priced below INR 30,000. At this price range, the Neo 10R 5G will compete with recently launched models like the POCO X7 Pro, which is equipped with the Dimensity 8400 (for an in-depth comparison, check out our Dimensity 8400-Ultra vs. Snapdragon 8s Gen 3), along with the POCO F6 and Motorola Edge 50 Pro.
