    Samsung Galaxy A56 5G FCC Approval: Faster Charging & Wi-Fi 6

With a 6.6-inch AMOLED screen and stylish triple rear camera setup, the Galaxy A55 5G provides a lot of the Galaxy S24+ experience, but at a lower cost. Yet, it misses out on the 45W Super Fast Charging feature, which Samsung continues to keep exclusive to its premium devices for 2024.

    Upcoming Changes for 2025

Samsung is expected to finally introduce this feature to the Galaxy A series in 2025. The FCC has hinted at this ahead of the launch of the A55 5G’s replacement. The new model, identified by its SM-A566E number, has appeared in a recent certification that details 10V/4.5A charging capabilities for the next device.

    Expanded Features

Additionally, the certification allows for the use of Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and NFC on the smartphone. However, it does not specify the battery size, although it’s believed that it will stay the same at 5,000mAh in the Galaxy A56 5G model.

Samsung Galaxy A36 5G Launching in US with Fast Charging Upgrade

The Galaxy A56 5G isn’t the only phone getting an upgrade to Samsung’s 45W Super Fast Charging this year; its smaller counterpart, the A36 5G, is also set to enjoy this feature, as per recent reports.

    New Discovery

This information comes from the recent findings in TÜV Rheinland safety documents, which indicate that the A36 will support a charging rate of 10V/4.5A (45W), up from the previous model’s 25W (currently priced at $349.99 on Amazon).

The model number for this smartphone is SM-A366U, and the final character hints that it is intended for the U.S. market.

    Performance Insights

In addition, a device matching this model number has appeared on Geekbench, lending credence to the idea that the A36 5G is likely to feature the Adreno 710-equipped Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC, rather than the Exynos 1580 expected for the A56 5G.

It appears that the A36 5G will come with 6GB of RAM, while the A56 5G is expected to have at least 8GB.

    Design Language

Moreover, it seems both of these devices will showcase Samsung’s future design style, as they feature camera bumps that resemble those found on the high-end Galaxy Z Fold6, rather than the typical flagship S24 design.
