Chuwi is now taking pre-orders for the UniBook, and during the promotional phase, the company is offering a notable $50 discount for its MacBook Neo rival. The Intel Wildcat Lake laptop will be available at $449 until July 02, 2026.

    Specifications and Configuration Details

It’s worth noting that there’s only one configuration of the laptop available, and it comes with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and a 256GB NVMe SSD. While the storage is upgradeable (2TB Samsung 990 Pro curr. $369.9 on Amazon), the memory is soldered, and although Chuwi initially announced that the RAM would run at 7,467 MT/s, it’s configured at 6,400 MT/s.

    Design and Performance Highlights

A big highlight of this affordable laptop is its thin and lightweight design. As Chuwi highlights, it’s as thin as 16.4mm and weighs only 1.2kg (around 2.65lbs). Under the hood, it features the Intel Core 3 304, and even though it’s an entry-level Wildcat Lake processor, a recent Passmark benchmark result suggests that it can match the A18 Pro of MacBook Neo.

The display specs are good, but the screen isn’t really better than what Apple equipped the MacBook Neo with. Precisely, the Chuwi UniBook has a 14-inch IPS display with a peak brightness of 300 nits. MacBook Neo’s display, on the other hand, is rated for 500 nits.

    Ports and Connectivity Options

Port-wise, the Chuwi UniBook easily beats the MacBook Neo. More specifically, the laptop has the following ports:

    • USB-C ports
    • USB-A ports
    • HDMI output
    • 3.5mm headphone jack
    • MicroSD card slot

There’s a 53.38Wh battery inside, which, according to Chuwi, can offer up to 13 hours of FHD video playback. It has support for 65W PD charging, and it’s said to reach from 0% to 60% in an hour.

    Additional Features and Keyboard

An active cooling fan, a full-sized keyboard with backlit, WiFi 6, and Bluetooth 5.2 are among the other notable aspects of the laptop. Check out the spec sheet attached below to learn more about the Chuwi UniBook.
