Colorful has introduced the CVN Z790D5 Ark Frozen motherboard, which is compatible with Intel Core processors from the 12th, 13th, and 14th generations. This motherboard is designed for high-performance gaming PCs and professional workstations.

The Ark Frozen motherboard supports DDR5 memory and is equipped with four PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots for high-speed NVMe SSDs. The design, taking inspiration from CVN-class battleships, showcases a titanium gray color scheme that extends from the heat sinks to the PCB finish. It boasts a 14+1+1 digital power phase design with 90A high-spec DrMOS VRMs and tantalum polymer capacitors, making it capable of efficiently handling high-end Intel Core i9 processors.
This motherboard includes a 2.5 GbE Ethernet port, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.3. It features a single PCIe 5.0 x16 slot that is backward compatible with PCIe 4.0 devices, including the latest NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 Series graphics cards, and an additional PCIe 4.0×4 slot for add-in devices such as RAID controllers and capture cards.
High-Capacity Storage and Connectivity
With its four PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots, users can set up high-capacity, high-speed storage configurations. The motherboard’s alloy-reinforced memory slots enhance both aesthetics and durability, while its 8-layer PCB with thickened gold-plated contacts ensures stable and rapid data transmission, supporting memory overclocks up to DDR5-7800MHz. In terms of connectivity, the motherboard offers 4x USB 2.0, 2x USB 3.2 Gen1, three USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports, and 1x USB 3.2 Gen2x2 Type-C port on the rear I/O. The front panel I/O header also includes a USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C port that supports 30W PD fast charging.
