This official declaration serves to dispel uncertainties surrounding Sony’s prospects in China, which have been subject to ongoing speculation. Despite a decline in Sony’s smartphone market share in China in recent times, the company shows a clear resolve to sustain its presence amidst fierce competition.
Sony’s History in China
Sony initially entered the Chinese smartphone market more than ten years ago following the acquisition of Ericsson’s stake in a joint venture.
