Sony has unveiled its latest mirrorless camera, the α6700, in India. This new addition to the APS-C lineup aims to empower creators of all levels in the country. The α6700 combines premium imaging and video features borrowed from the full-frame Alpha and Cinema line series with a compact form factor similar to other models in the a6000 series.

The Sony α6700 boasts a compact design that offers excellent portability, weighing in at just 493 grams. In terms of dimensions, the camera measures 122 x 69 x 75.1 grams. It features a vari-angle 3-inch LCD monitor with touch support, a customizable dial, and an electronic viewfinder.
When it comes to photography capabilities, the Sony α6700 is equipped with a 26MP Exmor R CMOS sensor and Sony's BIONZ XR processing engine. The camera supports ISO levels up to 32000 and offers a dynamic range of 14+ stops. It also features AI scene recognition and the S-Cinetone picture profile, which eliminates the need for color grading. Additionally, the α6700 includes a 5-axis in-body image stabilization for stable shooting. For videographers, the camera is capable of recording 4K videos at 120fps with S-Log for gradation. It also comes with a built-in stereo mic and a monaural speaker.
In terms of compatibility, the Sony α6700 works with E-mount lenses. The camera offers various connectivity options, including a microSD card slot, Bluetooth 4.2, dual-band WiFi, HDMI micro connector, and remote control.
Pricing and availability
The Sony α6700 starts at Rs 1,36,990 for the body only. For those looking for a lens kit, the camera with a 16-50mm lens costs Rs 1,47,490, while the 18-135mm zoom lens option is priced at Rs 1,72,990. Customers can purchase the device from November 20 onwards at leading online and offline stores across the country.
