Sonos has unveiled an update for its Android app. The new version, 80.09.06, is reported to introduce several enhancements and a novel feature for users. According to the release notes, the queue management system has been fine-tuned, allowing users to rearrange or remove items from their playlists.
Enhancements in Voice Commands
Another update enhances the TalkBack feature, Sonos’ voice recognition technology, which can be adjusted in the Settings menu. The indexing of the music library and its dependability have also seen improvements, although users must have the latest player update, version 81.1-58074 (or later), to take advantage of these changes. Additionally, a new option lets users plan System Updates as per their convenience.
Rollout and Availability
Sonos mentions that this update is being rolled out in phases, starting from October 15th, but a completion date has not been provided yet. Once version 80.09.06 is ready for you, it will be accessible for download through the Google Play Store. The iOS version of the app was recently updated to 80.09.09, with the change log indicating only ‘bug fixes and stability improvements’. The improved queue management feature was made available for iPhone users in versions 80.09.07/80.09.08 back in September.
