Sharp has introduced a new addition to its X Series, the XP-X171Q laser projector. This model is tailored for business settings, making it suitable for use in places such as conference rooms, classrooms, or museums.
Impressive Specifications
The XP-X171Q is promoted as a 4K UHD projector, boasting a laser light source that can reach brightness levels of up to 16,500 lumens. However, there has been no mention of an equivalent measurement from recognized international standards like ISO or ANSI lumens. Sharp claims that the blue laser contributes to this enhanced brightness, while a red assist laser improves color vividness. The expected lifespan of the light source is around 20,000 hours without the need for maintenance. As for its display capabilities, this DLP projector offers a WUXGA resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels, which results in a 16:10 aspect ratio image.
Versatile Connectivity
Sharp has stated that the XP-X171Q works with a diverse range of motorized lenses. Depending on the lens chosen, the throw ratio can range from 0.31 to 4.00. The projector is equipped with input ports that include two HDMI 2.0 (HDCP 2.2/1.4) and HDBaseT. Additionally, users can utilize ProAssist software for remote control of the projector or multiple linked projectors via a computer. It is important to mention that this model seems to lack built-in speakers. The price for the Sharp XP-X171Q laser projector has not yet been officially disclosed.
