Roborock has hinted at a new robotic vacuum equipped with a unique robotic arm designed for the Chinese market, called the G30 Space. The company's Weibo account has shared images and a video of the device, claiming it will be the first of its kind in the industry.
Innovative Design
The G30 Space features a five-axis mechanical arm that can extend and retract into the main unit. A video suggests that this arm may include a camera, potentially for recognizing or locating objects. However, the exact functionalities and limitations of the arm are still not fully known. There are speculations that the arm could assist in picking up items or even opening doors.
Slimmer Alternative
In addition to the G30 Space, the brand also posted about the G30 robot vacuum on Weibo. This version doesn't have the robotic arm but boasts a sleek design at just 7.98 cm (around 3.1 inches) in height, allowing it to slide under furniture with ease. It's slimmer than the Roborock Qrevo Slim, which stands at 8.2 cm (approximately 3.23 inches); this model was launched last year and is currently listed on Amazon for $999.99.
Upcoming Launch
The Roborock G30 Space will be officially introduced along with other models during a global launch event set for January 8th. The exact release date and pricing details are still unknown. Additionally, the company has yet to reveal any intentions to extend this innovative technology to markets outside of China.
