A variety of Xiaomi products have recently launched globally, including the Poco X7 series and the Redmi Note 14 line. In addition to these new smartphones, the company has introduced the Redmi Buds 6 Pro to the international market. These premium wireless earbuds are designed to provide an “industry-leading” audio experience.
Audio Technology
To achieve this, Xiaomi has equipped the Redmi Buds 6 Pro with a triple-driver configuration. This setup includes dual PZT tweeters along with an 11 mm titanium diaphragm driver. This arrangement is claimed to deliver crisper highs and richer bass. For an even more engaging listening experience, the earbuds feature built-in dimensional audio modes that utilize head tracking.
High-Resolution Support
The earbuds also support high-resolution codecs. These wireless ANC earbuds are compatible with LDAC and LC3 audio codecs. The LDAC codec, in particular, allows for audio transmission rates of up to 990 kbps, which should result in clearer sound details when used with compatible devices.
Noise Cancellation and Battery Life
One of the remarkable features of the Buds 6 Pro is its “flagship-grade” Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). Xiaomi asserts that these earbuds can cancel out noise levels of 55 dB, effectively blocking out mid-to-high frequency sounds. This performance is reportedly about 14.16% better than previous models.
In terms of battery life, the earbuds can deliver up to 9.5 hours of playback on a single charge. When used with the charging case, the total battery life extends to 36 hours (Anker 737 power bank currently priced at $106.48 on Amazon). Additional features include various EQ modes for personalizing audio settings, an AI-enabled three-microphone system for clear communication, and a design focused on comfort.
Purchase Information
As for when you can get them, the Redmi Buds 6 Pro will be sold through Xiaomi’s official channels and authorized retailers starting January 15. In the UK, they will have a suggested retail price of £64.99 (approximately $81).
