Alongside the introduction of the Redmi 13 5G smartphone in India today, Xiaomi's sub-brand also unveiled a TWS earphone and a home appliance. The earphone in question is the Redmi Buds 5C, which joins the Redmi Buds 5 series that includes both the Buds 5 and Buds 5A that were released earlier this year. This newly announced model has a few distinctions from its predecessors, positioned between the Buds 5 and Buds 5A. Read on for more details.
Redmi Buds 5C Specifications and Features
The Redmi Buds 5C retains the in-ear design with a stem and silicone ear tips similar to the other Buds 5 models. It boasts an IP54 certification for dust and splash resistance. The earbuds come in a pebble-shaped storage case featuring a 480mAh battery, which is claimed to provide up to 36 hours of usage. The earbuds themselves are said to last 7.5 hours on a single charge.
On the audio side, the Redmi Buds 5C is equipped with 12.4mm titanium drivers that deliver exceptional audio clarity. Users can choose from five different sound profiles based on their preferences. The TWS earphones also feature a 40dB hybrid active noise cancellation to block out unwanted noise. Additionally, there is a transparency mode that allows you to stay aware of your surroundings. The audio device includes quad-mic AI noise cancellation with two microphones on each bud, capable of eliminating wind noise and ensuring clear voice transmission.

The Redmi Buds 5C supports Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity and Google's Fast Pair technology, allowing it to connect to two devices simultaneously. It also features a 60ms low latency mode.
