Red Magic Tablet 3D Explorer with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Launched in China

Nubia’s gaming-centric sub-brand, Red Magic, has unveiled an innovative tablet. The Red Magic Tablet 3D Explorer Edition, revealed at the 2024 Snapdragon Game Technology Awards, boasts a distinctive feature: a 3D display that doesn’t need special glasses.

Equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, the tablet leverages “Super Perception AI 3D Display Technology” to deliver a three-dimensional viewing experience. It supports a wide range of apps and enables users to transform 2D content into 3D with just one click.

Gaming-Centric Features

Beyond its 3D capabilities, the tablet is packed with gaming-oriented features such as AI-powered tools for navigation, audio, and gameplay enhancements. Additionally, it includes a virtual assistant named Red Magic Princess Mora.

This isn’t Nubia’s first foray into 3D tablets. Earlier this year, the brand released the Nubia Pad 3D II, which also features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and AI functionalities. It remains unclear whether the Red Magic Tablet 3D Explorer Edition is a new device or simply a rebranded version of the Nubia Pad 3D II. Further details are anticipated in the near future.

Upcoming Launches

In other developments, Xiaomi has announced the launch of the Redmi Pad Pro 5G in India on July 29. The Redmi Pad Pro 5G comes with a 12.1-inch 2.5K LCD screen, featuring a 120Hz refresh rate and 600 nits brightness. It is powered by a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor and offers 6GB/8GB RAM along with 128GB/256GB storage, expandable up to 1.5TB.
