Realme is gearing up to unveil the Neo7, marking the debut of its newly independent Neo series, which was formerly included in the GT Neo range. Although the exact launch date hasn't been announced yet, the company has revealed some exciting insights about the phone's pricing and main features.
Competitive Pricing
Realme has confirmed that the Neo7 will launch in China with a price tag under CNY 2,499 (around $345, €330, or INR 29,100). This positions the device firmly within the mid-range market. Nevertheless, the Neo7 is expected to distinguish itself with impressive performance and exceptional battery longevity.
Performance and Battery Life
Realme asserts that the Neo7 will provide the "most powerful performance, battery life, and quality" within its pricing bracket. Supporting this claim, the phone is said to achieve over 2 million points on AnTuTu and boasts a battery capacity exceeding 6,500 mAh.
Durability Features
Durability seems to also be a priority for the Neo7. While Realme has not specified the exact IP rating, they have suggested it will be higher than IP68. This indicates a possibility of achieving IP69 certification, which protects against high-pressure and high-temperature water sprays.
Anticipated Specs
Rumors indicate that the Neo7 will be driven by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset and come with a robust 7,000mAh battery. A prior listing on China's 3C certification website hinted that the Realme Neo7 might support 80W wired SuperVOOC charging. Furthermore, the handset is expected to feature a large display with a resolution of 1.5K.
Comparing with Current Models
In contrast, the existing Realme GT Neo 6 is equipped with a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, a 5,500mAh battery supporting 120W charging, and a 6.78-inch 1.5K 8T LTPO AMOLED screen. This model starts at CNY 2,099 (approximately ₹22,000) for the 12GB + 256GB version in China.
Future in India
The last Neo-branded device released in India was the GT Neo 3 back in 2022. It remains unclear whether Realme intends to reintroduce its Neo lineup to the Indian market. Just yesterday, Realme launched the GT 7 Pro in India, adding to the curiosity surrounding their product strategy.
