Realme has introduced the Realme GT 7 Pro flagship smartphone in China. The phone is priced at 3,699 Yuan, making it the most economical option with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. There's speculation that Realme may be developing a new phone in the GT Neo series. Recently, a device with the model number RMX5060 gained approval from China's MIIT authority. Additionally, it has also received certification from the 3C platform in the country, leading many to believe this could be the anticipated Realme GT Neo 7.
Rumored Specifications and Features
The Realme RMX5060 has appeared in the 3C database, showing it will support 80W fast charging. Although there's no solid proof yet, there's buzz that this device might be the GT Neo 7. The upcoming phone is expected to succeed the Realme GT Neo 6, which launched earlier this year in China with a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip. That model included a 5,500mAh battery along with 120W fast charging capabilities. Furthermore, the GT Neo 6 series also saw the introduction of the Realme GT Neo 6 SE, powered by the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3, featuring a similar battery and 100W charging.
Competing in the Market
Reports indicate that the Realme GT Neo 7 will come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version, an overclocked variant of the standard Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. With this powerful chip, the device aims to compete against other upcoming models like the Redmi K80 and iQOO Neo 10, both expected to sport the SD8G3 chip, as well as the OnePlus Ace 5, which also features the overclocked SD8G3.
Display and Battery Expectations
Other information suggests the Realme GT Neo 7 will have an OLED display that supports a 1.5K resolution, a refresh rate of 120Hz, and an optical in-screen fingerprint sensor. Furthermore, it's likely to include a dedicated chip to enhance graphics performance. Interestingly, the reduced charging capabilities compared to its predecessor may indicate that the GT Neo 7 will utilize a larger silicon carbon battery, providing a different approach to power management.
