Realme recently organized an AI Imaging Media preview event in Bangkok, Thailand, where the camera capabilities and AI features of the forthcoming Realme 13 Pro series were showcased.
The event's key highlight was the introduction of the Realme 13 Pro+’s dual main camera system. The primary camera is equipped with a 50MP sensor featuring Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and an industry-first Sony LYT-701 sensor. It is complemented by a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 periscope telephoto lens, which offers 3x optical zoom for capturing distant subjects with clarity.
HYPERIMAGE+ AI Photography Architecture
Beyond the hardware, Realme also unveiled HYPERIMAGE+, which it claims to be the industry’s first AI photography architecture. This three-layer system integrates high-quality optics with on-device AI processing and cloud-based AI image editing capabilities.
One of the standout AI features of HYPERIMAGE+ is the AI HyperRAW Algorithm, which aims to enhance image clarity and dynamic range. This algorithm enables the camera to capture more natural light and shadow details, resulting in more lifelike photographs.
AI-Powered Photography Functions
The Realme 13 Pro series also includes a variety of AI-powered photography functions for portrait shots. These features encompass AI Pure Bokeh, AI Natural Skin Tone, and AI Ultra Clarity.
AI Pure Bokeh is designed to accurately differentiate between foreground, midground, and background elements, as well as the subject, for precise object segmentation. This facilitates targeted algorithmic processing, creating a natural bokeh effect for professional-looking portraits swiftly.
Realme also emphasized the camera system’s quality by noting its TÜV Rheinland certification for High Resolution Camera.
Additional AI Features
The company briefly mentioned two other AI features, AI Group Enhance and AI Smart Removal. However, further details about these functionalities remain undisclosed. More information is anticipated as the official launch of the Realme 13 Pro series draws nearer later this month.
